- The key is to come at the last minute to breeze by customs and security without lines. For example, if you're taking the KTT 3:38 train to HK, come around 3:20 and you'll make it just fine☺️✌🏼️Upvoted Jan 19

- Scott BrownSeptember 24, 2016Easy transit to HK. Go upstairs to 1st floor for tickets and be aware they stop selling tickets 20mins before your train leaves and entry to immigration closes 10mins before departure.

- Paul HayesSeptember 27, 2014Ticket hall for trains to Hong Kong is on second floor, through security. When changing train tickets to an earlier time, must be at least 30mins. Queue based on tickets original purchase currency.
- Chaotic, rude staff, dirty, no logical plans whatsoever … so just your typical Chinese railway station.
- For HK bound trains, you can buy beer at the little coffee shop that's past immigration! Also, watch out for pickpockets!!!

- Marwa SayedApril 25, 2013If ur leaving to Hong Kong, make sure to be at the gate 40 min in advance. The close the gate early. Just missed my train!!
- 100 RMB for better coach & 80 RMB for casual. (12.5 & 10 € respectively). It takes 1h19 mins to get from Guangzhou to Shenzhen.
- It's kinda confusing that the names of the metro station is almost identical to this railway station and they are connected.

- Almost like a European train station, avoid taking taxis from the people at the exit, they will charge you a lot more than fair.

- Do not throw away your ticket if you're on CRH , cuz you'll need them to tab out the station , otherwise you're gonna receive a 99 RMB penalty .
- Pay attention to train schedule some time when there delay the staff don't inform foreigners as they don't speak English 😂
- Only buy train tickets at the ticket office , anyone telling you they bought extra ticket and sell you at a discounted price are 200% scammers
- You need ID to purchase train tickets, different prices for locals and visitors.

- If you are a foreigner have your ID ready at the ticket sales office- you can't use the automatic machines unfortunately.

- Caze TungMarch 10, 2015More than 10 years ago, here was a mess. Time flies and China flies also. It becomes much better place here.
- Travel during Chinese lunch and dinner times to avoid the crowds...
- Guangzhou - Kowloon. .. is the Guangzhou - Hong Kong, same thing
- Bathrooms are NASTY. You're better off waiting and doing your business on the train, where the restrooms are actually much nicer.
