- Wilson Favre-DelerueMarch 28, 2017High expectations surpassed: fun, friendly, city vibe, delicious food that brings back all the joys, tastes and smells of Thailand, though it's spicier Northern part. Wings particularly delicious.
- KristinDecember 27, 2014I absolutely love this place. Beyond the wings, my go-to's are khao soi, Kung op wun sen and Kai yaang. Trying the neua naam tok for the first time tonight. Cocktails with drinking vinegars are fun.
- Behrad EatsJune 19, 2017The Papaya Pok Pok salad will make even the toughest heat-seekers sweat! It's made with tomatoes, long beans, Thai chili, lime juice, tamarind, fish sauce, garlic, palm sugar, dried shrimp & peanuts.
- Behrad EatsJune 19, 2017Don't miss Ike’s Vietnamese Fish Sauce Wings which are deep fried, tossed in caramelized Vietnamese fish sauce and garlic then served along Cu Cai pickled vegetables.
- Jean McCarthyOctober 24, 2016Holy wow... the drinking vinegars... amazing. The wings are a must, get spicy - good kick but still palatable if you like spice. The catfish dish was so fresh and tasted like Chiang Mai to me. ❤️
- Andrew CApril 16, 2016Fresh off the boat Thai food from an owner who has been going back and forth to Thailand for years to learn the cooking secrets of various grandmas.
- Mark BramhillDecember 13, 2016Insanely good authentic Thai food. Get anything and everything here. Best with a group, but also fine on your own — trust me, you'll be happy to have leftovers 😋
- A late lunch or early dinner (2-5pm) is the way to go if you want to avoid the 1-2 hour wait in the evenings. Enjoy your chicken wings in peace.
- Maaham AzizJanuary 20, 2018The wings are a must of course. I recommend the beef curry soup (Khao Soi Neua ) on cold days like today. Beware of the flank steak salad (Neua Naam Tok)- it’s very vinegary and peppery.
- Food NetworkOctober 27, 2014Guy was all smiles as he ate the grilled boar with chile-lime garlic sauce and the spicy Vietnamese chicken wings topped with fried garlic. Read more
- Fabio ResendeApril 12, 2015Definitely over order. Life is too short not to try everything. You won't regret it.
- Adena BrenowitzSeptember 7, 2018Wings are the most delicious thing EVER. Also got the catfish which was amazing too. Honestly, a 2 hour wait at 8:30 pm is crazy. They own a bar across the street where you can order the wings.
- Jennifer SmithApril 28, 2017Oh yeah baby. First time here. Our server was amazing and we practically licked our plates. Amazing cocktails as well.
- FrancesDecember 10, 2014Chicken wings, curry noodles and jackfruit ice cream. They give you wet naps for sticky hands after eating the wings. Two story cottage coverted to a resturant. Tight fit for groups.
- Anna JamesJanuary 4, 2015No doubt Ika's Vietnamesa fish is awesome; but the star was Cha Ca La Vong. Simple dish, subtle flavors but amazing. Squeeze in the lime, empty the no-more-secret sauce, mix everything and enjoy.
- BommySeptember 3, 2017Avoid the wait by going for lunch on a weekday. Spicy fish sauce wings are the best. Seasonal cold curry noodles with fishballs is very spicy. Yam samun phrai (carrot salad) is not worth the $.
- It's a given that you have to try the Ike's Vietnamese Fish Sauce Wings if it's your first time visiting here. My go to dish here is the Kaeng Hang Leh or the Chicken Khao Soi. My mouth is watering!
- Chesco IgualJune 3, 2016Full chicken of the house was amazing. Almost all of the dishes are spicy, but some are quite low. Around 1h of queue but you can wait in a nearby bar and they will tell you when to go.
- Annie ChiuJuly 3, 2016Everything is good. The waitstaff is very knowledgable and gave us good recommendations. Go with the recommended side order of rice (there are various flavors), otherwise it's a little too salty.
- James BrandonApril 16, 2015The wings are maybe the best in town. I love spicy wings but i like the regular wings better than the spicy here flavor wise. I wasn't as impressed with the food in the restaurant as my bf though.
- timothy wudarskiMay 20, 2016Like everyone else says: get the wings. Drinking vinegars were amazing. Skip the ribs...surprisingly low on flavor compared to everything else.
- CITY GRITAugust 1, 2014We hate to be bossy but you MUST try the wings. And the Papaya Salad. And the Yam Tuna. And the Pork Belly Curry!
- GNTLMNFebruary 19, 2014Known for "street" Thai food, you won't find Pad Thai on the menu here. Owner and chef, Andy Ricker won the James Beard award in 2011. Definitely get the Vietnamese fish sauce chicken wings.
- KarinaNovember 16, 2014The Muu Paa Kham Waan (boar) here is a fantasticly delicious experience! If you enjoy spicy food, I highly recommend this dish. It's a total explosion of flavors.
- Emily LeungFebruary 16, 2016Standouts include the Cha Ca La Vong (Catfish) & Sai Ua Samun Phrai (Charcoal-grilled sausage) along with dat sticky rice!
- Vishnu PremNovember 23, 2017Ike’s Vietnamese Fish Sauce Wings are the most legit wings you’ll ever have. Super spicy just as they should be. ★★★★★
- Katy ArmesFebruary 24, 2014Well worth the wait and anticipation. Food was a teeny bit salty but not that I didn't eat it! I got to sit in a corner on the patio hidden away so I could eat like a monster and not be embarrassed :)
- Jairo AlemanJanuary 22, 2017The boar collar is awesome! Can't beat sticky rice either. The food and atmosphere was outstanding. Reminded me of family get togethers with my lao friends.
- Janine DuffyMay 7, 2013I am not a wings person at all but these will change your life, they're that delicious. Also get the Papaya Pok Pok with pork & coconut rice. Wash it down with a refreshing Southside.
- Lindsay McDonnellOctober 13, 2011I am transported to Northern Laos, reunited with my beloved sticky rice and fried whole fish. Wings are a must. Noddle dishes also yummy. A joy to eat here!
- Stefani HortonAugust 22, 2012I know it's been said a million times but the wings are amazing. Also, if you're looking for a refreshing non alcoholic drink the limeade is perfect. Just the right amount of sour and salt.
- Jason ShellhammerOctober 6, 2018Uber popular and hip. Great food. Excellent service. There is a wait. The prices aren’t cheap, but the food is totally worth the price.
- Kimberly WongJanuary 28, 2013Ike's Vietnamese Fish Sauce Wings ($12.95) & the Kaeng Hung Leh ($12.95), both HIGHLY recommended! The Pork in the Kaeng Hung Leh was amazingly soft, juicy, & tender. YUMMY!
- Pam ☕️ OApril 3, 2015Family Style: let each person in your group pick a plate and then add an extra to round out the night. Don't forget the wings!
- Scots ChrisJanuary 21, 2014Wings are awesome, particularly the spicy ones. Apparently the pork shoulder/belly curry is good too, but we had the prawns and pork with vermicelli and it was nice
- Robert CorpOctober 3, 2014Listen to all of the other tips. You have to get the chicken wings (spicy). And you HAVE to get multiple vinegar waters. Even better with vodka. Zero wait before 5pm.
- MarionAugust 7, 2018Definitely get the boar collar and the half chicken. Their papaya salad is the best.
- JakeMay 27, 2013Get the wings. Order them spicy. Don't argue. Just do it. Keep ordering them until you can't possibly consume any more. When you're done, get some to go.
- Bon Appetit MagazineMarch 30, 2011Chef and owner, Andy Ricker, knows drinking vinegars are big in Japan. Try his tart but weirdly refreshing mixers, in cocktails or topped with seltzer. Read more
- Keri DingAugust 12, 2014get there early for a table, they do text you before the table is ready. Fish sauce chicken wing is better than the pok pok in brooklyn.
- Nick GreifJune 28, 2012Quite literally some of the best Thai food you can buy outside of southeast Asia. There is nothing that isn't worth buying, twice (literally, we went back next day), and it is affordable. ($10-20pp)
- LaShorage ShafferFebruary 8, 2020Food is delicious. Can’t go wrong with the wings and the service was great!
