- Karina NApril 11, 2016Whiskey funnel sausage, spinach, mushroom scramble. +$1 for their famous toasted corn bread + pepper jelly; +$1 to opt for fruits instead of home fries
- Cameron BlackwellJuly 2, 2016The area is a bit iffy because there is a homeless shelter of some sorts right out side of the cafe. The food is well worth the 30 min. wait. I would recommend the 3 egg omelets.
- Luke BornheimerAugust 10, 2016Always crowded, with a line out the door (and around the corner), Dottie's has lines every day of the week—regulars order from the specials board. Put your name down and grab coffee at Blue Bottle.
- AbhishekNovember 5, 2018Another gem of a breakfast place in San Francisco! Ordered the zucchini and poached eggs special and it was delicious! Long lines over the weekend but definitely worth the wait.
- Jenna SauberMay 24, 2013Start with the chili-cheddar cornbread with jalepeno jelly. Then order off the blackboard: banana walnut French toast and the corn/fontina/avocado frittata. Delicious. Cute spot.
- Sophie FullardJanuary 8, 2017#govegan not hungry! What an amazing, retro little gem! American classic with a tasty twist! Loads of vegan options that could be customized off menu but do be sure to ask the waitress for her tip! 🌱
- Adam FJune 21, 2014While the line is out of control the food makes it worth it. I would say get there early but it doesn't make a difference. Go straight to the specials and make sure to get the corn bread!
- Sam BrownDecember 30, 2015Come for the pancakes, get at least two, and drown them in the delicious maple syrup... I mean, when they give you that much maple syrup in a little milk jug, you just need to over indulge!

- JulienFOctober 31, 2012Very good breakfast ! They open at 7.30 am, make sure you arrive here before 7.45/8am because you might wait a good 30/45 minutes in line, no kidding. Nice decoration, delicious food, good service !

- Marvin ChowMarch 14, 2014Amazing brunch/breakfast place. Get there early (before 8a) and order off the specials board. Egg and prosciutto sandwich is tasty.
- Missy BergenSeptember 4, 2012Don't miss this. Arrive at 7:30a or earlier... but worth the wait if you arrive with a line (and expect it). Order off the board; get a muffin or drink while you wait! Staff busy but friendly.
- Delena DayJune 2, 2014The service was great, and the good was delicious!!! I was drinking mimosas and left 50.00 on the table after I paid, and the waiter stopped me and told me! I appreciate his honesty!!!!
- Maya ShanmugamAugust 26, 2019The breakfast frittata is amazing! It’s more of a hybrid omelette-scramble though. You can feed two people with that bad boi.
- Karina NApril 11, 2016Whiskey blueberry coffee cake crumples goodness with a blob of sweet cream on top!!
- Niketa GandhiMarch 12, 2015The Dottie's famous pancakes are out of this world! Not too sweet and perfectly fluffy!!! And their house-made buttermilk dill toast with jam is delicious!
- Ashley RoseNovember 13, 2016The grilled cornbread with jalapeño jam is a staple for a reason; the other specials were just too much food for one. Get the bread and split an entree
- Anechka M.November 2, 2016Delicious breakfast, simple combo of runny eggs, fluffy pancakes and crispy bacon but so well prepared!
- Gyozo NagyMarch 21, 2016I was not sure that waiting in the line for 40-45 minutes is worth it but the place and the food is brilliant. I could not eat the whole pulled pork because it was too much for breakfast:)
- ChrisAugust 11, 2014Lamb Merquez Sausage, Roasted Garlic, Tomato, Spinach and Goat Cheese Omelet with house-made buttermilk dill toast
- Laneé FosterOctober 11, 2016SO not worth the wait. French toast was blah. Cinnamon roll was yummy. I think it's so popular b/c everything is homemade. My Mom can do better so maybe I'm a snob. Skip the line & order it to go.
- Pablo JimenezOctober 24, 2013Crackin. Hands down. Better get there early, otherwise youre waiting in line for this place! But waiting in line is well worth it.
- Juan BrooksSeptember 19, 2021SouthWest omelette is delicious Be prepared to wait in line. The place is small, but worth it.
- Meg JarrellApril 10, 2014The banana chocolate french toast is BANANAS! And you know you'll have the perfect breakfast when they ask if you want your bacon chewy or crispy!
- Worth the wait! Allow a couple of hours if there are more than 10 people waiting outside. Neighborhood improving all the time but still sketchy part of 6th St so be warned if you're the nervous sort!
- héloïseAugust 1, 2016Great service, not sure about the hype for a basic diner. Cornbread is good. Portions are enormous,,feed a homeless person with your leftovers
- Frank KimJune 14, 2015The boar sausage was incredible, and the scramble with whiskey-fennel sausage was cooked perfectly. The jalapeño cornbread is obviously excellent.
- J CrowleyMarch 11, 2016Side of sausage (pictured here) is a strong move. If you happen to order too much food (like me) ask for a to go box. Then give to someone in need, likely sitting outside the restaurant.
- Alex BosworthNovember 4, 2018Pretty sketchy neighborhood to wade through but solid breakfast food. A single order is enough for two or three people. The cornbread is good but not amazing
