It might be a weird station, but has nice shops& cafés, great connections to all public transport & interesting architecture. (Don't get lost when looking for platform 9/10, it's a different building)Upvoted 2 days ago

This is where the buses from Brussels arrive. The easiest way to the city centre is to just take the train: six minutes to Centraal Station.
Calm and relatively clean station, one stop away from Amsterdam central station.

If you have time before your train or bus leaves, check out Bret for a good selection of craft beers.
Nice station with some shops. Many hotel near by which make it good location to stay on.

Don't run for your train... Just take a coffee at Starbucks! The baristas are very friendly!

Don't use the tram (GVB) if you want to make a connection! They are notoriously unreliable

Get your Starbucks at Amsterdam Central Station instead of here..
There's a seperate building (Hemboog) for platforms 9 and 10. Schiphol trains leave from platform 10 or 11 (main building, third level).- Get your coffee at Julia's! Better and cheaper then Starbucks.
Intercity station, but weird that it has no platform 1- Go to www.ns.nl for train times and platform numbers, a lot easier than the boards :-)
