Have you heard that istanbul is a city that never sleeps? This Avenue is one of the reasons it is called that. Late night life, street singing and wide range of brand stores makes this perfect to see.

Trams started to operate in İstanbul at 1871 and the one on İstiklal Avenue became active at 1883. Until 1914 all the trams were pulled by horses. Later they were all electrified...

The busiest street in Istanbul (European side). Good for shopping and walking all the way from the Taksim square to the Galata tower. On your way back take the historical tram.

Take a tram, visit churches, the flower passage, eat where the locals eat, shop in brand name stores, explore antique hives and visit museums. This is where it all happens in Istanbul

Buzzing, vibrant street with tons of food vendors, cafes and sweet shops. Similar crowds to Oxford Street in London (so if you don't like people, avoid!) Be careful of fast motorbikes and cars.
