Must stop in Taipei. Freshest sashimi! Oysters were amazingly creamy. Skip the uni. The hotpot area is also awesome and can order sashimi etc for same price. Seafood set is cheap for the portion! Yum!

So so good! Must do in Taipei! Choose sashimi, bbq or hotspot. We did hot pot in the upstairs area and got the seafood special. The food is alive just minutes before you eat it. Fresh local fruit too!

Standing sushi bar is very affordable, especially for quality. All fish is fresh and portions are generous. Order á la carte or sets. Nigiri sets have great variety and are well priced. Cash only.

Great variety of fresh seafood. Overall, I enjoyed the experience of the seafood market and standing sushi bar and would recommend a visit. Look elsewhere if you are expecting top-notch sashimi/sushi.

Located at Taipei Fish Market, this establishment hosts an array of Japanese-themed foods, consisting of both cooked and uncooked. Oh, the sushi bar is AMAZING — a must-try! • *Cash only* • Go early!

Love the open kitchen & fish market place concept. Popular eatery for its fresh seafood, in any styles you want. Prices are rather reasonable for the standard of food. Will be back for more!

The equivalent of the famed Tsukiji fish market in japan, this one has expanded to house a grill bar, standing sushi restaurant, and catering to a no frills outdoor dining experience. A must visit.

Visit the sushi bar during off peak hours to avoid the wait. The deluxe sushi set is fantastic value for money. Only NTD600 for super fresh, high quality fish. 🍣

My go-to protocol is put your name in at sushi bar queue --> get a number for beer garden --> oysters and champagne outside --> crab legs and 下巴 at the tables --> finish at sushi bar

Good value for fresh fish but not tech skilled enough to merit sushi. All kids cutting fish, not chefs. Fun for first timers (atmosphere) but long line can be tedious. Skip blue fin tuna, yellow fin

If u r ordering the sashimi platter, pls aim for the special selection platter which cost around NTD320+. that is the one u want. The part of sashimi they select r one of them best part of the seafood

Amazing place! Kicked Tsukiji Fish Market into 2nd place on my list. Fresh seafood served beautifully in a very cozy setting. Both indoor and alfresco areas for dining. Price is reasonable.

How can you not visit this place when you’re sashimi freak?? Really fresh and cheap too. Can be crowded sometimes. They do have big live crabs and so on.

The crowd is insane during the public holiday. The wait can be long, so grab a number for the restaurant as soon as you get there - sushi bar inside, binchotan grill outside and hot pot upstairs.

Fresh fish and meat, but bit pricy. Cool location, either sit at served tables inside - or grab something for takeaway for outside. All food is freshly made. But I had better sushi in Taiwan...

While waiting in line, check out the wine bar for some great wines. Also, check out the grocery store at the end of the night, items are usually 10-30% off.

Stand up sushi: stick to fish that don't require chefs to be skilled at Ikejime, might as well eat at supermarket - same fish cheaper! Oyster bar is a bargain and wine BTB cheap and decent selection.

The market for fresh fish. But this place seems to be on every tourist’s itinerary, not so much for the market but for the sushi restaurant inside. Even on weekdays the wait can be very long.

This is how you do sushi. Go for ten pieces and wash it down with an Asahi for less than 1,000NTD.
