- Noah WeissJuly 30, 2015You have to come to this epic food market for lunch and enjoy the outdoor seating. Enjoy the free cheese samples, then get a chicken sandwich at Stangeriet and a Ma Poule duck confit sandwich.
- Bogdana BAugust 14, 2016Awesome seafood at Vulkan fish - the fish soup is delicious; super cold cuts at Annis and yummy ice cream at Paradis Gelateria! A must try (not only for the food but for the hip atmosphere too!)
- Zsolt GønczølMarch 21, 2015Nice place with a huge selection of cuisine. Try the salted whale at the fish shop in the back or discover some nice Norwegian beers at Øltorget. Free wi-fi btw
- Cyrus BladesAugust 28, 2018This market is incredible, lots of fresh meat, seafood, cheese. Plenty of restaurants inside and outside!
- Ayshwarya JaisankarFebruary 27, 2017The fish soup and king crab in pepper sauce at Vulkanfisk are must dos. The cold cuts, especially reindeer salami, are amazing. Exceptional = brown cheese and marmalades at Norwegian cheese store.
- Marius WatzNovember 2, 2018Located in Vulkan, an industrial area redesigned as a hub for food and nightlife, Mathallen offers a mix of restaurants. Also a great spot to see the Akerselva river on your way to Grünerløkka.
- Victoria JeanineJuly 8, 2018The Fishburger at Vulkan was very good. It‘s nice to sit outside when the weather is good. Just grab drinks at the restaurant next door and you’re allowed to sit on their patio.
- Se7enthAngelDecember 27, 2016A vast indoor food market, its atmospheric and affordable place to get your fill of local and other amazing cuisines. Truly a foodie's eden. I liked the Fish soup from Vulcanfisk.
- Sabrina MajeedSeptember 27, 2016Similar to Mathallen Copenhagen. The Ma Poule confit de canard is a tasty duck sandwich with a yummy mustard sauce. Also get the black cherry gelato from Paradis for dessert.
- Definitely one of my favorite spots here in Oslo. Always a great atmosphere and great food. Some places better than others of course
- The pintxos / tapas bar Barramon is the gem of Mathallen. It's right in the center of the hall. A bottle of Bertha reserva cava works well both alone or to the pintxos.
- RAKANSeptember 4, 2019Good place, beautiful atmosphere, friendly sellers... donuts 🍩 store recommended 👍
- Super cozy & layback place with lots of options for dinner, drinks or grocery shopping. A must visit in Oslo. Hitchhiker is one of my favorites here (pictured)
- FMDMarch 5, 2016locate the veggie stand and get either the veggie burger or the raw platter. Both are delicious 👌🏻 BONUS TIP: the orange and ginger smoothie comes with coconut milk and is so good!
- Morten HansenJuly 21, 2017Giant market with diffrent kind of supplies. We go there every weekend. Best place in the world. You can shop there, you can eat there, you can do anything you want or need.
- A HazetSeptember 20, 2016Success transformation from old factory complex become into a new hot spot area to hang out & dinning in Oslo. Preserve the originality in one side & in the other built a new business #travellingNorge
- Joyce IpAugust 28, 2016Good vibe with a variety of cuisine - must try VulkanFisk, the best fresh fish bar
- Tomasz PiotrowskiAugust 9, 2016We had crepes and they were really nice (from 50-110 NOK). I took a nice beer for "only" 105 NOK... It was good though, but as Vincent Vega said in Pulp Fiction "not worth 10 USD" :-). Great place!
- Lydia KJune 5, 2016Almost *too* many great choices. The gelato place in the corner near the Dansens Hus is fantastic.
- Great gourmet shopping place and food court. Cheeses at Ma Poule, Ingredients at Gutta. Awesome butcher (annis) and more.. best place to shop in Oslo
- Yuliya SamsonavaMay 14, 2017a good option for breakfast - you could start with coffee, pintxos #barramon, fish soup at #vulkanfisk and beer at #hopyard

- Natalie VSeptember 12, 2016Fun food court with a lot of variety. We tried a fish and chips place and Asian street food - both were excellent.
- Nikola RSeptember 28, 2014The food and snacks are good..look into the gourmet stores and get local brown cheese and other bites;)
- Rather than sitting down for a whole meal, you could tapas surf between places - like Delicatessen, Atelier, Comer con Arte and Barramon.
- No More HalosDecember 31, 2019You will find something delicious to eat 100%. Try the Vulkanfisk. It’s AWESOME!!!
- Alica Catharina JägerAugust 18, 2018Sorry, but this lunch @Noodles was the worst lunch in Oslo. The so-called wok was neither seasoned nor worth the money. So no recommendation! Also the quality of the ramen was way under its pricing.
- Marvin QuinzonJuly 17, 2014Awesome food court especially if you want to try different types of food. Worth the visit when in Oslo!
- Go around and wine and dine wherever. Great food&snacks and beer, wine etc. finish with a pie from "Hello Good Pie".
- Martin JonassonMarch 5, 2023Great food court with a lot of options. Recommen Vulkan fisk and Hopyard especially.
- Jen KeeganMarch 2, 2015Go during the day when everything is open. If you're going for dinner, a lot of the smaller booths are closed.
- Ton KilsdonkNovember 17, 2012Exciting as this may be for Oslo, similar food courts in Stockholm, Barcelona and Portugal are much better. Tram 11-12-13 Schouss Plass, then 7 min walk through Norre Gate.
- Martin JonassonMay 7, 2017Great food court in a nice environment and a lot of things to choose from.
- Murat KomşucuDecember 4, 2016Nice place to eat! It is a food court. You should go to see different foods and sea products. Not very expensive.
- KristianOctober 17, 2019Sunday morning here is perfect for a thorough walkthrough. Beer joint opens an hour later though
- Alex SombyMarch 17, 2015Modern approach to "Food Market". Some stuff is from Norwegian farmers, the other is brought from abroad. Bit overpriced, but high quality nonetheless.
- Frederique MattiMarch 5, 2015I really like this market. It isn't even that crazy expensive. Love the tapas and beer place.
- Louise JenningsApril 13, 2018Unique, local and amazing food all under one roof in a trendy part of town.
- Erlend SkjørsæterFebruary 17, 2015Annies got the best sausages. Smelteverket in the basement are good for a beer and got decent pub-grub.
- Polina BarbasovaDecember 12, 2016Whatever your heart fancies to munch on! In a beautiful old station or factory place
- Andrea WielunskiOctober 4, 2016No nice places to sit and enjoy the food you payed a lot to eat. Who wants to pay 150 kr for a dish you need to eat from a paper tray and plastic fork???
- Niva CvrljeOctober 24, 2014Great food, free wifi. Coffee in baker nikolaisen is ok but it is really bad at kafe & te
