- If you ever lose your car, hit the Info call box by the elevators. Parking security takes inventory of every car daily. Give them your plate number and they know exactly where you parked. Amazing.Upvoted 2 weeks ago
- 💚 Favorite airport, calmest TSA ever! Come early to get an aromatherapy foot soak at the Spa on C Concourse, or just shop & eat! 💚 Don’t forget to take a foot selfie with the famous #PDXcarpet 🤳Upvoted Dec 25, 2023
- Best Airport in the US. If one security line is long, try the one for the other terminal. You can always take the shortcut back between the two and get some waking in.Upvoted 1 week ago
- Flying out of A, B, or C? Use the security checkpoint for D and E. it's almost always faster. Plus the Coffee People past security is usually fast and friendly too ;)Upvoted Jan 30
- The easiest airport to get through. From curb to gate in 15-20 mins. Also, Stumptown coffee, abundant plugs, and free wifi!
- I’ve been to a fair amount of airports & this is my favorite of the larger international airports. Clean & well lit.
- For Vegans: the bistro cafe in the main ABC concourse has vegan options or will adjust menu options to be vegan. just need to ask. FYI. The hummus plate is vegan & very garlicky. It yummy but pungent
- Support food carts, located pre security like these yummy mantou from Pok Pok, they also have their famous Fried wings! I would arrive early or lingering before going home to enjoy the deliciousness
- What a great airport! Down at the center area of the C Gates good food options and shopping. Take home made in Oregon items including whiskey to enjoy to enjoy with friends and family.
- Adam StallmanApril 10, 2017Neat airport with several good local eating and drinking places. The Max Light Rail picks up outside and can take you downtown. The weather here can make it a bumpy ride on take off or landings.
- One of the best airports in the world, offering incredible eats and some of the NW’s best restuarant brands. I’ve been to hundreds of airports and I love coming back here every time.
- Tip from helpful TSA lady: if the line is long at the ABC gates, walk down to DE, check in and walk back inside
- Jean McCarthyOctober 27, 2016Such an efficient airport, only one terminal - all gates emanate from within. Terminal D Smash Burger chicken sandwich and fries 🍟
- Best airport ever. TSA is great. The atmosphere is relaxing 😎. All the shops have something for everyone. This is the best airport in the Great Pacific Northwest.
- Susan RussoDecember 3, 2012Caper's Cafe offers pretty good home cooked food. It's healthier than most airport eateries and has a nice wine bar with several local wines. The Stone Cap Cab is good and only $7.
- Shelly's Vegan Wrap is one of the best tasting, reasonably priced, and healthiest airport food options I've found. Get it at the Oregonian News stand by gate E3 across from the Laurelwood.
- Best airport in the world! Lots of good places to eat, art to view, and tax-free shopping that has similar pricing to their partner stores outside of the airport.
- Skip Starbucks and get coffee at Stumptown. The lines move fast, so don’t worry if they look long.
- Security line A/B/C backed up past the Nike store? Ask TSA how long line D/E is. Takes about 20min after the 1st check point.
- A nice airport to show up early to. Many shops (Powell's, Pendleton) to get souvenirs that don't seem like they could've possibly come from the airport.
- Julia MaMay 22, 2017If you have some time, check out the movie theater in Terminal C!! Movie shorts from local filmmakers.
- Check out C concourse to eat at Mo's Seafood and Chowder. Besides chowder and fried fish they have a Tuna or Shrimp Melt on garlic bread
- Jen LongawaJanuary 17, 2019One of the nicest airports I’ve ever been to! Lots of good food and shopping choices. Very navigable.
- One of the better places to have a layover. Possibly the best airport in the country when it comes to craft beer availability (and affordability).
- Pamper yourself with Priority Pass via Caper’s Market (A/B/C Concourse) or Capers Restaurant (D/E Concourse). Excellent redemption value and to-go food options.
- TrevorJuly 18, 2015A decent light rail line right into the city, good eating options, and friendly TSA workers (at least when I've passed through) make PDX one of the better airports in the US.
- If you're hungry, check out the Pok Pok and KOI Fusion food carts. Some of the best Thai food and Korean inspired Mexican food in town!
- If you are in a hurry or just want to not worry about parking you can valet park your car!
- Wilson Favre-DelerueJune 2, 2017Deserving of its reputation as one of America's best airports: warm design, good retail mix, appetising food options. TSA remains TSA, however, as charming as ever.
- Greg BeddorDecember 2, 2014PDX airport has really stepped up their game over the past few years, I love the selection of local restaurants and businesses that they have added to their offering.
- Free wifi is solid. Great food and best place to buy Willamette Valley wines. Check out Henry's for awesome burgers and Gorgonzola fries!
- Amy Johnson CookSeptember 25, 2014Friendly people, great carpet, eco friendly restrooms, good food & shops plus water fountains with bottle refill spouts make this one of my favorite airports.
- Checked luggage is quickly delivered (usually). You can pick up OR beer and wine to go after security and take it with you onto the plane - leave some space in your carry on!
- Rachel MercerOctober 7, 2011Here for a layover? Free-wifi is a bonus but most terminals also have workstations with semi-private cubicles, quiet space, and plenty of plugs. Great for knocking out some work before your flight.
- Jeff SundinJuly 8, 2014Cafe right next to Gustavs has incredibly awesome tossed salads. For those looking for healthy eating, stop here. It's a must! For mom healthy, get a sausage from Good Dog Bad Dog.
- Blue Star Donuts are in the airport! So much easier than toting them from downtown!
- Melinda P.May 30, 2014In case your flight leaves from gate E-6, just walk away from the terminal and go all the way to the set of Wings... bring your hiking gear. Oh, and a jacket. It's chilly out here!
- Thomas Favre-BulleMarch 13, 2015The cosiest airport of all. Free Wi-Fi and plenty of power outlets. Take a foot selfie with the green carpet before they tear it down.
- Simply the best. Plenty of shopping and restaurants outside of security, light rail to downtown, free wi-fi, many place to catch a catnap, many wall outlets....simply the best!
- LauraJuly 11, 2013Fly Late at night! Way less traffic than mid day, evening or even early morning... And also flights r cheaper.... And if u purchase tickets on Tuesday around noon it's the cheapest time to buy!
- Make sure to go to the end of the E terminal to see a little bit of history. You will find the original carpet that was used at the airport!
- Fast security, great food options pre and post security that include local food carts or local breweries and restaurants
- I always arrive early, a great place to get some food and great drinks. Try country cat and house spirits as well as kenny and zukes. Skip starbucks.
- Dean KirklandMarch 11, 2015What's good here? The restaurants are awesome. Stanford's, Mo's, Roses, Rogue Brewing and Gustavs. Voted Americas best airport for a reason, it's clean, nice and modern.
- James WinskowskiMarch 25, 2013The center lobby area has mellow, live music, charging stations, plenty of seating, and great food options :) Plus it's pretty aesthetically pleasing. Definitely my new favorite airport.
- Mac ASeptember 16, 2013Just an FYI there is Made in Oregon store at the airport and have the same price as the other stores they have in town. Good store to visit .
- Kate StoneAugust 1, 2018If the security line is too long at ABC, go to DE, there's a hallway that connects the two security theaters behind the restaurants, that you can walk from one to the other. Go to E7 for old carpet.
- Like the city it serves, this airport is understated, quiet, and totally enjoyable. Be nice to the TSA because this might be the one place they are also nice to you.
- Get here a little early. There is great local coffee, and also some great food options after you clear security! For movie buffs, there is a theater on C con that shows local movies.
- “Shop & dine around the clock” means something different than what you think. The Clock is an actual clock tower in the terminal before security. Don’t expect things to stay open all night here.
