Great location with easy MUNI access, although I usually walk to/from Civic Center. Lots of nearby food options &/or cocktails before a show, plus a few open late enough for a midnight snack.
Parkinggarage at the Holiday Inn on Van Ness is validated at the box office as you enter. They have a nice bar to catch a night cap and a snack before getting on the road for home.
Nicely sized venue with easy seating and standing room. Great acts come through here all the time. Make sure to skip the service charge by getting tickets at the Warfield box office.
For some special events, the Grand Ballroom upstairs is open to VIPs. If you can make it up there it's magical to breathe the air where The Grateful Dead, The Doors, and Jefferson Airplane once played
Awesome musiciansperform here on a regular basis. Been here to watch Nouvelle Vague, Sia, Corinne Bailey Rae, Cocorosie, Blonde Redhead, and a few others! The balcony's decent.
One of the preeminent concert and event venues in SF. Noted as a fine example of Scottish Rite architecture, the Regency Building was built in 1909. The Ballroom is a beaux-art treasure with thirty-five foot ceilings and twenty-two turn-of-the-century teardrop chandeliers.
