Bahrain Fort

Strolling along the archaeological site of Qal’at al-Bahrain is the best way to discover this ancient heritage. For great sea views and stunning sunsets make your way down to a small terrace nearby.

Tricky to find by GPS but well worth the effort. Fantastic fort and also and excellent museum. Fort is free entry and BD 2 per person for the museum. Did not realise Bahrain had such a rich history.

A great place to go for a walk when it's cool outside. Has some amazing views of the old city and the new.

Enjoy a tour through history by visiting Bahrain Fort ... don't forget to wear sport shoes to be comfortable in walking around.

The fort has a very nice sea view, don't come early as there is no hiding from the sun. The museum has an interesting layout too. Bring your own water as 1.3BD for a small bottle is a joke.

Truly fascinating historical perspective on the region

You can access the fort without going to the museum inside. And keep a water bottle with you up there you'll need it.

You never get bored of this place, great surroundings and well maintained

Last fortified in the early 16th century, the earliest settlements at the fort date back to 2800 B.C.

جمال أخّاذ سبحان من علّم الإنسان، نافذة من الماضي العريق مطلة على الحاضر الحديث.. في رحلة شاهدة على الحضارات في هذه البقعة العريقة من شبه الجزيرة العربية. ينقص المكان شيء بسيط من الاهتمام ليغدو أجمل.

قلعة بناها العرب الأوائل واحتلها البرتغاليون سنة 2200 قبل الميلاد، وظلّت من استعمار لاستعمار حتى دخل الإسلام الساحل الشرقي لجزيرة العرب في القرن السادس الميلادي.مكان جميل جدًا للمشي والتسلق والتأمل.
