- Martin D. CiaoAugust 19, 2014For a short weekend trip, take the subway into the city! You can buy special weekend 3-days unlimited pass from the information counter. Very useful if you will take the subway a lot on your trip!Upvoted 2 weeks ago
- Adamos ChristodoulouDecember 31, 2014Terminal 1: Last chance for taking home Shanghai memories, pop in the shop on your far left as you walk towards the big number gates. I personally got some beautiful things I am so glad I found!Upvoted 2 weeks ago
- Dave McAugust 2, 2018Much more conveniently located than Pudong airport, but not as many international flights. Great option for domestic flights though.
- Lillian LinMay 7, 2016To get WiFi without a chinese phone, connect to the WiFi anyway and on the login screen, click the chinese words to the right & below the login button. Then you can change the country of your phone #!
- Quite fancy airport, strong WiFi, fully equipped facilities and it has huge area.
- Smaller airport near city. However check in queue can be extremely long for early morning flights. Online check in often unavailable... Limited F&B options
- Very convenient to the metro, on my best day I've gone curb to gate in 7min.
- EVERYTHING about this airport is Easier, Faster, Better than Pudong. Flow design, checkin, security, immigration, quality and quantity of F&B options, taxi queue, etc, etc. -Everything-.
- Need to get out of the security area and re-check-in if you fly with Air China and connecting thru SHA.Upvoted 1 week ago
- T2 is fantastic - Starbucks outside/pre boarding & inside the terminal there is starbucks, Zegna, L'occitane, kiehl's, Burberry - you can do last minute shopping here
- Sara VasquezApril 15, 2014If taking a night flight, arrive here instead of Pudong Int'l and skip the exorbitant taxi fares. Night bus from 10:30pm on out with 2 stops: Jingan Temple and People's Square.
- Seb 🇫🇷🇨🇳2 weeks agoVery convenient from SH downtown. Not so much international flights but ok for HK and TW however and some south east Asia countries
- T1 and T2 are far apart. T1 has limited international flights to Asia capitals such as HND, TSA and GMP.
- Sherry JuMay 20, 2016Good thing about a small airport especially for int'l departures: gate very close so no rushing around. 😂😂😂
- One of the best airports in China and voted world’s 22nd best airport in 2020
- Yeany DahlanJanuary 5, 2015Free wifi! Just log in using your mobile number and get password via sms. Love it.
- Basheera AbdulazizSeptember 11, 2017Liked this airport more than the PVG. Strict security checks in all over China. Try to get to the airport at least 3 hours before your flight.
- RexJune 26, 2017Decent airport and closer to city center (compared to Pudong). Expect delays, although it's not necessarily the airport's fault
- Martin Fraire CambiassoNovember 27, 2014Be early, many people always. The extra weight charge is cheap, do not leave anything behind!!
- Prepare for a long walk in the terminal to get checked in.... Depending on what for you get dropped off at
- Juan NJuly 17, 2019You’ll face three security checks. First, when you enter the building, before passport control, then full check after that.
- Robert N.September 18, 2012this is the only place i have ever been to where i saw women the age of my mother wear hello kitty clothes, hats & bags. and as delays seem to be normal here, there is plenty of time to watch them.
- Charles BelinOctober 25, 2011Withdraw cash before customs as there's no ATM inside. Good selection of Cognac but Remy Martin only available in VSOP, a shame. I shall fix that.
- PJune 2, 2013Bring snacks if you know you are gonna be delayed in terminal 1 .... It's frequent.... Never ever taken off on time...always hungry
- Felix TengMarch 14, 2015Security lines are long, food are expensive. Other than the above two, very good
- Nishant SharmaSeptember 15, 2021Hottest airport, the AC either doesn't work or they keep it super hot like in Chinese hotels.
- Good luck getting an on-time flight here. Not to worry, plenty of bad restaurants and gates with broken A/C to keep ya comfy.
- Jacobo P LJuly 10, 2018VIP 5 Lounge is crowded today...not so many facilities for "foreigners" passengers...
- Well, at least it's better than PEK. Take the subway, much faster
- Eko Rudi IswantoJuly 18, 2015Heard that the delayed becomes habbit here was true...My flight was supposed to be depart at 6pm but due to traffic congestion, almost 2 hours there was no update schedule
- Take the RH escalator after security, stop at Starbucks, then go to gate 48 ... a bit more of a walk
- Good if you want to fly within China and if you don't mind delays
- A pacific coffee company outlet is located near the gate 37!
- Marco TaianaMarch 1, 2014The free wifi is working quite well but after security control there's nothing to do. No shops, no coffee, no restaurant.
