- Todd WilliamsSeptember 2, 2014The Spirit Animal burger is my fave but the Dirty South burger is a close second. Get the Belgian fries. Milkshakes are outstanding. I think it's reasonable for the quality. A+
- Noel LathamOctober 7, 2018I had the bear in heaven and it was FaNtAsTiC ! The onion rings are killer! There is alotta love put into this food ♥️

- Mel RuppOctober 27, 2015Oh man. This place is amazing. When I was traveling, this place kept popping up on my phone searching for restaurants. It did not disappoint. Awesome burgers and great fries!
- Delicious burgers and amazing milkshakes. Try a burger without a bun to get extra toppings. Split a shake with a friend, and make sure to get it spiked.
- The News & ObserverJuly 27, 2012Chuck's serves half a pound of ground chuck, flat-top seared and available with a wide variety of toppings. If you like a thick, juicy hamburger, then you'll probably be a fan of this place. Read more
- Get the special (currently a burger with bacon, roasted jalapeño and pimento cheese) with a side of fries. Best burger in Raleigh.
- Whatever one orders, don't miss out on a milkshake. The salty peanut butter with roasted banana shake is great, but with a shot of Gosling's dark rum added it's reason alone to visit!
- LuisJanuary 31, 2014Great flavor combinations at this unconventional burger joint. Well worth the trip downtown. You will have to wait to get a table but the food is great.
- Joe RizkJune 11, 2013Go for the Dirty South. Burger topped with smoked pork shoulder, crispy onions, slaw, and cheddar. Not on the menu, but ask for the cappuccino shake for dessert
- Pretty much everything is awesome. Big thick fries, tasty shakes, etc. The Spirit Animal is great and very unique, if youre into cream cheese on your meat.
- Nicholas SabinFebruary 3, 2013The fries are life-affirming, but the chairs might be irksome if your derrière isn't petite. Still, everything here is delicious. Best burger in Raleigh, not close.
- Shannon MillsAugust 7, 2013I totally let my server, Josh recommend my entire meal down to the beer and it was AMAZING!!!! Fabulous service, food and quick to boot!
- Marilee HenniganApril 10, 2016Liked the size of the burger and the dipping sauces for the fries were pretty tasty. Decently priced glasses of wine and beer.
- Kyle BrittMarch 8, 2013Amazing burgers and fries, definitely going back and trying the milkshakes when the weather gets warmer. Eat here whenever in the area.
- Vincent LancasterMay 26, 2018It's not on the menu but the thighmeat chicken sandwich with the Day Tripper signature with Sorghum Dijon instead of Comeback sauce and Rishi tea!
- allisonJuly 31, 2014Burgers..mouth-watering! Fries with the various sauces & ketchups..awesome. ..but never again on a Friday night!
- Joanne KarunakaranApril 30, 2018I'm vegetarian, but stopped in for a milkshake. Confirmed: Milkshakes are good. Malt makes it special. Got the strawberry one, and I don't even like strawberry all that much. Didn't taste fake.
- Asia ThurstonNovember 26, 2017The burgers are delicious!! The portions for appetizers are HUGE! The shakes are the bomb!
- Alex WatsonDecember 5, 2014Just FYI, the drinks are out of the bottle. If you get the Spirit Animal I recommend putting some garlic aoli on it
- Best burger in Raleigh. You can order non-gourmet burgers, if you're overwhelmed or a bitch. Avoid the specials; they're hit and miss. The Knife&Fork Fries are too heavy and not worth the added cost.
- Mary BahnsonApril 2, 2012Get the bear in heaven! So good and the garlic aioli sauce with your fries. The staff is always friendly and the food is fantastic!
- Tom NudellMarch 2, 2015Not sure what happened, but the buns and the fries aren't as good as they used to be. The buns were mushy (who likes mushy buns?) And the fries were greasy. The veggie patty is still the best around!
- Get the 5oz burger because it's just the right about of burger to eat. Don't listen to the negative nancy tips-this place is awesome!
- Gabe ArceJuly 14, 2013The best burgers in the triangle. Plus the dipping sauces for their Belgian fries are so fingerlicking good!!
- Peyton ArmstrongMarch 1, 2014The comeback sauce is solid, but there's something missing from some others. Burgers are good, yet pricey. Specialty burger joints provide variety with toppings, but not much else stands out here.
- Jennifer FosterAugust 16, 2014Burger was good...fries were very good! Waitress was very nice - very lively and social atmosphere.
- Get the Big House burger! Soooo good! And the garlic aioli sauce with the fries!
- Awesome burgers! Try the Bear in Heaven for a more classic burger feel. Also my bf loves the Aviator Draft Root Beer!
- Anna EliasApril 14, 2014Limited selection of burgers. Mine was ok. Service was EXCELLENT. Dark Chocolate Cake Milkshake with bourbon was AMAZING!!!!

- It's currently only a special, but the Apple Pie Shake is GREAT!
- Allison L.June 28, 2013One of the best burgers of my life. Awesome dipping sauces for fries. Huge fan!
- KellyAugust 17, 2013The flavor combos were great but I wasn't impressed with the actual burgers. They fell apart easily and were really greasy. A friend had the veggie burger and it couldn't be p/u it just fell to pieces
- Stacy SmithMay 31, 2012One order of fries worked for our family of four. Delicious burgers and fries, adult and kid approval!
- Sean AnkenbruckFebruary 14, 2012Eat a burger, order the fries and finish with a milkshake. By far the best meal in town!
- Carlos RussoAugust 27, 2014Get the High & Valley. Trust me on this. With a boozy milkshake on the side.

- Fallon McKeonJuly 13, 2012This is officially my favorite burger joint downtown. So hip & indie. Great music as well
- Burgers are amazing, but the shakes are even better, and alcoholic ;)
