The menu features good Chicago red hots, eggy (or perhaps just yolky) frozen custard, salty crinkle-cut fries, and best of all, wonderful burgers, reputedly ground from a combo of brisket and sirloin. Read more
This burger joint loves pups so much, they get their own special menu. We recommend the Pooch-ini, a sweet treat made with vanilla custard, peanut-butter sauce and ShackBurgerbiscuits. Read more
Need I say more?! Absolutely love shake shack! Always there for me rain or shine. Provides the ultimate comfort, I'm emotionally attached to this place. Just keep in mind you DO have to sit outside
You gotta hit a shake shack. If you can, go for the original in Madison Square park, but they have locations all over. Don't sleep on the ChickenShack. I like it with a Vanilla shake.
The original Shake Shack reborn in the original location. Great burgers, amazing shakes. Line can be long but it moves along well enough. On a nice day in NYC it doesn't get much better than this.
If you've had the burger before, give the Chick'N Shack a try. You won't be disappointed. Round things out with cheese fries (cheese on the side) and a shandy (house beer + fresh lemonade).
As always the prices are very steep, but i had the shake-cago dog today to be different and besides the size it didnt let me down! For a more detailed review on this dog go to my yelp page Erica f

Burgers can sometimes be salty but they're juicy & delicious. Fries are great. Try the Shack Attack concrete for dessert! Long wait usually, check webcam on their website to see the line before going!
Yes it's greasy and red-meaty and all those things they tell you not to do, but it's so good you won't care! Gotta get the whole package. Shackburger. Shake. Fries. Best burger I've ever had. Period.
I'm going to write one of the most controversial statements that has ever published on this little app we call Foursquare... the Chick'n shack is better than the OG burger. There, I said it. Fight me!
Very tasty burgers, very cheap as they are smaller than the normal massive american portions. Try the cheesy fries! Frozen custard is like adult ice cream - not too sweet. Milkshakes perfect too!
I've lived in N.Y. for six years, but can't get enough of the touristy Shake Shack. The best value burger in the city. My order: double burger with bacon, lettuce, tomato, + shake shack sauce 😋
They need to pave underneath the tables so that it's not all dirt and mud. Come during the winter and it's not so crowded but still nice to sit outside under the heat lamps!
The lines are always crazy, but posting up in Madison Square Park with a Shack Stack, fries, & a black and white shake at the shack that started it all still makes for the perfect summer combo
Shake Shack gives vegetarians the "Shroom Burger." The "patty" is a portobello mushroom stuffed with cheese and deep fried. Word of warning: the first bite will unleash a molten hot center of cheese. Read more
One of my favorite burgers in NYC. It's just the right size so doesn't overwhelm. Lines at Madison Square Park location tends to be long but it's nice to sit in the park and eat!
Doughnut Plant & Shake Shack made a concrete baby. Staple Concrete features rich and creamy vanillafrozen custard blended with seasonal raspberry jam and chunks of black sesame glazed cakedoughnut. Read more
You could go in their website to check out the shack cam to see how long the lines are here. You could also order for pickup. Enjoy your burgers, hot dogs, fries & shakes in Madison Square Park. ❤️
I could never really get behind the ShackBurger, but the new SmokeShack is everything I love: a generous portion of delicious bacon and the vinegary spiciness of cherry peppers. I'll be back for more.
Not a huge fan of the burgers but love the setting in Madison Sq Park and the frozen custard especially the hopscotch made with caramel sauce and mast brothers chocolate. Delish!!
First Shake Shack location in Manhattan, my favorite and definitely the best. Always feel super special to go to the original one. Right in the heart of Madison Square Park, once in awhile indulgence!
When standing on the Shake Shack line at Madison Green, you can see a number of the lifesize cast iron sculptures of artist Anthony Gormley’s body standing on buildings surrounding the park. Look up!
Put all other reservations on hold! This place is a must visit when going to NYC. Absolutely hands down the best burger in town. Scarf down a Shack Stack w/ cheese fries and a Blue Pabst Ribbon beer!
10 yr-old Danny Meyer burger & shake chain has my #2 fave burger- Single Shack Burger w/ Pat LaFreida's 100% all-natural Angus beef...altho' their fries top my #1 fave In-N-Out's on the W coast.
I like that you can eat at the park, that they both offer burgers and wine, and that they are open till very late. It's even fun waiting in line as long as you have friends to keep you company.
The Shake Stack can only be made better by adding another patty. But then you won't be able to fit it in your mouth, which is already quite a mission. I love this place so much.
The original shake shack lives up to its name. The shack in the park provides a fun, fresh atmosphere. The shack stack is to die for. One of the best fastfoodburgers ever. The crinkle fries are great
We got just the classics, ShakeBurger, crinkle cut fries, & chocolate and strawberry shakes. It was delicious! Fries not too salty or oily. Great size burger. Shakes were great, choco > straw though
We want to have someone wait in the line for us. But until we find someone, we’ll stand because this burger is totally worth it. Bonus: you can check the webcam online to see how long the line is!
What’s not to love about a shake shack burger? Always cooked just right and their fries are a perfect compliment. You can also rely on the chicken burger if you need to avoid the beef.
It'd be great to come and eat during summer or fall! Location is great! The food is still the same like any other shake shack location. I always order the Shroom burger and it never disappoints!
Amazing experience! O wasnt sure about what to choose so i decided for a single cheeseburger AND the mushroomburger. Both até relly great buy The 'shroom is spetacular! Best vegetarian burger ever!
The new redesign has a lot more seating in the park. Worth waiting in line for. Don't forget, if you just want one of their concretes or ice cream product, jump into the C line!
The original. Still amazes me that the line remains so long after 10+ years. Hit the dessertline here: coffee + donuts concrete. Get a burger at one of the other, equally consistent locations.
My ultimate favourite Shake shack location. Since it's at the park, it can be much less crowded (vs. indoor locations) and you can eat outside when the weather is really nice!
Amazingly good and tasty burgers. The waiting line can be pretty long though, but the wait is worth it. You should have the burger as double, singles are a bit too small.
Absolutely love Shake Shack. Very long lines, but the burgers are worth the wait. Come on a nice day and grab a seat in the park. Make sure to get fries and a shake too!
Mmm. Great burger and shake. The place that started the whole explosion. Yes, I would wait in line for it. It's best to come before or after lunch to get the shortest line.
This place is great! The ShackBurger is delicious and not that expensive, and so is the Dapper Dog! Btw, try to avoid going at lunch (HUGE line) - go around 4pm, if you can, and it will be free.
Though the line seemed long the times I was there, everybody were quickly expedited. Kind of hard to get a seat, but the burgers and shakes easily makes up for it. Try the smoke shack burger!
If you come on a sunny, but cold, day, you won't have to wait in the famously long line for the best burger in NY. There are portable heaters by the tables so you'll be cozy, too.
Shake Shack is a modern day "roadside" burger stand serving the most delicious burgers, hot dogs, frozen custard, beer, wine and more! The venue is located near the south end of Madison Square Park in the Flatiron District.
