- J CrowleyOctober 25, 2016Believe the tips about the kimchi ramen with ground pork. It's spicy, and thicker than your usual ramen broth, and Hector's Pup is it good!!!
- The miso ramen is fantastic. The chicken flavor of the base stock is delicious! The noodles are aggressively al dente and great. The side of chili garlic oil propels the broth to the next level.
- Pork bun is meh, the shrimp bun is pretty delicious. Definitely give the kale salad a go, it's not what you would expect and it's bomb. Quality ramen and wonderful specials (I had the pork bone ramen)
- Argelys OriachMay 29, 2016The pork bone broth is equal parts flavorful and light without losing any of the complexity you'd expect, and the noodles are perfectly al dente. Couldn't have asked for a better bowl of ramen.
- Lisa FinnAugust 18, 2014What's good here? Everything. A ramen for every taste, always cooked to perfection. (I recommend the pork!) Be sure to slather the Chili Garlic Paste on whatever you get.
- Cole KennedyFebruary 28, 2016Yo, this ramen is spectacular, but first you need to order a Japanese IPA and snack on the spicy crispy Brussels sprouts. (And then get the miso ramen).
- ElizaJuly 15, 2017Kimchi Ramen: If you can't even take a little bit of heat, then it's not for you. If you can tolerate spicy, then you'd love it. And if you love spicy, then it isn't spicy enough, but you'd enjoy it.
- ElizaJuly 16, 2017Summer Special: Ramen Chilled Noodles is definitely the best choice when it's hot and humid out because it's light and refreshing; adding the mustard sauce just only adds to the flavor too!
- Kathleen VargasMarch 15, 2016First time eating ramen and I was sold! Got the kimchi ramen and really enjoyed it. Alil pricey but it's worth it. I really liked the Brussels sprouts with peanuts and jalapeño. It's to die for 😁
- Kathy MatthiesenMarch 2, 2016Literally EVERYTHING. For meat eaters, I highly recommend the ground pork as your protein option - adds a nice kick and is incredibly flavorful
- Alex HeathJanuary 14, 2017Kale salad is out of this world, as are the wings. Cant go wrong with miso ramen with spicy pork and a bottle of sake. Be sure to get garlic chili sauce on the side.
- NicolaFebruary 17, 2015Amazing ramen joint. Go for the veggie style or the pork bones ramen. Also great the shishito peppers and gyozas! Be prepared to wait for your mail, but it really worth! Great!
- Christina ChinJune 13, 2015I hate kale but I will gladly come back here for their kale salad alone. It's that good. The ramen was pretty good here too. Going solo, was able to snag a seat at bar right away
- MatherJuly 13, 2015The kale salad is now one of my top fave dishes in all of New York. I was talking sh*t at first, thinking it would be a waste of space, and then I proceeded to eat my words...and the best salad ever!!
- Veggie miso ramen is insanely delicious!!! So rich and velevtly- so good I had it two days in a row! Kale salad is a must- crazy good. Also, salt and pepper wings-- such a crispy fried crust!!
- Kimmie OhhSeptember 3, 2020Their pork bone broth ramen was bomb! It had mustard greens, egg, wood ear mushrooms. Roast pork was the meat of choice. :)
- Lauren SloanNovember 26, 2016We got the pork bone and veggie miso and boy were amazing! We both would come back. I suggest the veggie miso only because the noodles were a bit thicker and the broth was like heaven
- Village VoiceApril 14, 2015The veggie ramen houses springy noodles & flavorful miso with briny seaweed, sweet acorn squash, cabbage, bamboo shoots, green onion, & egg. It's just as satiating as one of the meatier counterparts.
- DailyCandyJanuary 14, 2014Brainchild of former Morimoto chefs, the cash-only joint offers 4 types of ramen (miso, soy, veggie, and kimchi), plus a weekly special. There’s no way to go wrong, but the kimchi ramen can’t be beat.
- Cath RichardsonMarch 6, 2016It's all about the veggie miso. The broth is dense and delicious. Sometimes the veggie version feels a little lacking. This is the complete opposite. Make sure to include a soft boiled egg!
- Best veggie ramen around. Pretty easy to get a seat if you're alone, get a drink at Weather Up across the street if you're waiting with a group. Yellow can sake is the best. Brussel Sprouts too!
- JOctober 18, 2014I've eaten at nearly every ramen joint in NYC, Chuko is definitely top 5. Excellent chewy noodles, well-developed broth that is not overly salty, awesome lean pork. The miso is really excellent.
- Chelsea RenaudMay 10, 2016Chuko proved that ramen in Brooklyn competes with the best of 'em in Manhattan. Spicy pickles to start your meal off right, most unique kale salad in a long while, Kimchi ramen - just damn.
- Josephine SonJuly 18, 2013Some of the best ramen I've had in a long time! Great service too! Bit of trek from Manhattan but worth it. Get brussel sprouts, kale salad, mazemen, kimchi ramen, and don't forget the death sauce!
- Julius TarngSeptember 12, 2015Swap all that bullshit thin noodle for the thick and wavy yellow noodles. ATM in the back ($2+ fee). Lots of San pellegrino here. Brussels sprouts and mazemen
- Blue JamesonJune 9, 2015Delicious! Order the pork bone ramen ! And don't forget to get the child garlic sauce! No wifi and waiters are a bit rude... But the food is delicious
- Asha GrantAugust 29, 2014Ramen Ramen Ramen!!! Working on trying each one. So far I recommend the soy, it's all about the broth! Real reason I come here is the fish sause flavored, slightly charred Brussel Sprouts, Delicious!!
- ChenyuMarch 24, 2013Nice bartender- Mark is knowledgeable abt how every dish is made. Wonderful kale salad & kimchi ramen(the special sticky garlic oil w chewy noodle) bone marrow broth is unique.
- SavorySweetLive MargaretOctober 9, 2013The vegetarian ramen is a must here, and comes with seasonal vegetables. The broth is so flavorful surprisingly better than the Tonkatsu. Love the thick chewy noodles.
- Tyson GachDecember 10, 2015Fantastic food all around, especially the kale salad and any of their ramen. But it’s 2015 and they are cash only (even with multiple iPad point of sale setups behind the bar) 🙁.

- Pricilla WangJuly 27, 2014The brainchild of three Morimoto expats, it has been slinging some of the city's best ramen since their opening in 2011. The veggie broth is surprisingly flavorful, but the kimchi is the standout.
- Awesome miso ramen. The spicy oil on the side isn't particularly spicy however it does add an interesting depth of flavor to the broth.
- Erica AndersonFebruary 15, 2016Delicious pork buns; gyoza left something to be desired; kimchi ramen brought the experience home. Dynamic yummy flavor.

- Mike PNovember 16, 2013Holy shit. Even better than Ganso. Get the brussel sprouts and the Miso with Pork (not the ground pork). Also get the pure snow unfiltered sake (if you're into cold, unfiltered sake).
- MarcApril 16, 2014Tasting Table's Top Ramen NYC: Vegetarian ramen "Seasonal vegetables in a deep bowl of kombu-dashi broth seasoned w\miso and garlic-scallion oil, plus a pile of lovely noodles"
- Miso ramen with ground pork. The best. The corn is so fresh and subtle sweet contrasts with the spice. Always add the little chili garlic sauce they give! Perfection.

- Stacy Bo BacyMarch 24, 2019Kimchi ramen is good - just blows my mind a bit that adding pork and an egg brings it up to $20 a bowl.
- This place is awesome! I had the vegetarian miso ramen and it was fabulous. Tons of fresh snap peas and chunks of shaved asparagus topped with fresh garden sprouts. Friendly helpful staff too.

- Léna Le RollandFebruary 23, 2018The miso broth was sooooooo good. And the roasted pork! YUMMY. The starters were amazing, kale salad, Brussels sprout and all of them!
- Erin GriffithJanuary 18, 2014Worth ordering too much food and taking the leftover ramen home - the pork bun, Brussels sprouts and kale salad are delish
- TinoNovember 9, 2015High quality Asian cuisine for a very reasonable price. Great for a lunch. Ramens are just amazing.
- The Wall Street JournalApril 5, 2012For starters, try the special, pickled Asian vegetables (Chinese broccoli, beets, daikon radish) dusted with horseradish shavings or the peanutty Brussels sprouts, browned to an immaculate crisp. Read more
