Mondays and Tuesdays it's open til 9. other days it closes at 5:30 pm

In 1972, the Central Library at Mt. Vernon Square was replaced by the large, modern Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library at 9th and G streets N.W. The new main library was designed by Mies van der Rohe and is eight times the size of the original Carnegie Library.
