Don't just stop at the cafe, I highly recommend you to cross the bridge and hike up the riceterrace. Don't forget to have small change available for "entry" fee!
Beautiful scenic view, many cafes and shops along the road. Don't miss the local garden, where they grow and brew their own coffee (kopi luwak, too), and have plenty of fruit, vegetables, and spices.
I like rice, as long as they let me put my own stuff on it. You can bring me white rice or brown rice; just let me doctor it up. Its a WOW view at here. Love it!
Giant swings, coffee tasting, and the panoramic view of the rice paddies can be the most common activity in this side of Bali. Despite the influx of tourists, the experience is still unique to many.
This area is famous for its beautiful rice terraces that use the traditional Balinese irrigation system, which tradition says was passed down by a revered holy man in the eighth century.
A must to see in Bali. Entrance is free, but you should donate for the temple. We paid 20000rph. There is also a swing there where you can use without waiting alot
Must visit when in Bali.. couldn’t try the swing as queue was long 🙁they also have dress for rent for swing pics..one will have lot of options for good pics.could be slippery walking down the tracks
Went for a ricefield trekking. It's not free to trek here, a few gate to pass and we must donate to a few farmers to let us pass over. However, it's worth it to trek here 👍
Beautiful view on riceterraces from the top. Ticket - 10k. But when we went to see the view - no one was checking! You can just stop at any cafe/shop and see all the beauty.
Beautiful place, but not sure if you really have to pay for a ticket (10.000IDR), make sure to bring bills for “donations” for the bridges etc., can be crowded
Get yourself a scooter and ride it here,!plenty of parking, plenty of cafes with great views, good food. Wear trekking sandals, the ricefield pathways are steep and slippery in some places.
Great views and an iconic part of Ubud. These rice paddies are layered down a mountain side and give you access into them for exploration. Reccommed highly just for the view.
Thanks for giving the tips that the farmer will ask for 'donations' if they were ask for pictures taken. I laugh at some tourists were being bluffed at; 'fake farmer' indeed. Say cheese! ;-)
Beautiful scenery, I can recommend the Pagi Terrace where they have this good fish dish rolled in lemon grass sticks. (wear flip flops in the rain season as there is a lot of mud).
U can fall down the load and needs donation gate before climb up the ricehills, 10,000IDR per person... it is donation but people insists 10,000IDR....
It is extremely touristy. An amusement park in the ricefields. Couple swings, zip lining, and more (which you need to pay for). There are plenty of free photo ops such as floating treehouses.
they will collect 10k per pax for visiting the riceterrace.. but noone actually check it when u reach there. Further, this is a common road to other places as well. Can we dont pay next time???
Ah, heavenly. But totally worth the trek. Lots to walk. Avoid giving 'donations'. Negotiate hard with the coconut vendors. Must have lunch at 'Teras Padi' or 'Cascades'.
Bali Disneyland. 10krp entry then you are harassed every 100m for a 'donation' with many refusing entry without payment. The whole has place become a money vacuum. What a shame. Used to be beautiful.
Try to avoid the guys in the terraces who offer you to take a photo of them – they want money. Also there's no need to pay for the maintenance of the terraces or wells to pass. You've already paid.
