龍October 25, 2017通称「旧道庁」「赤れんが」。かつての北海道庁舎で札幌を代表する観光地の一つ。明治21年 (1888年) にアメリカ風ネオ・バロック様式で竣工、明治42年 (1909年) に火災で罹災、その後再建。昭和42年 (1967年) 国の史跡、その2年後には重要文化財に指定。開拓地のシンボルとして、北海道を象徴する建造物の一つであり、内部は北海道の歴史や樺太、北方領土についての資料館がある。
【国指定重要文化財】指定名称は「北海道庁旧本庁舎」…当時の北海道庁土木課が設計。アメリカ風ネオ・バロック様式といわれる。
