- Chantel SnyderJuly 20, 2013The Gielgud theatre is very cozy and relaxing. The shows never disappoint and the views in the entire theatre feel up close and personable.
- Intimate space, bar on Dress Circle is a better choice for interval drinks. The theatre is just a stone throw away from best frozen yogurt in London -- SNOG! Have some while waiting at stage door! :D
- Stanley BouwerMarch 24, 2019From the entrance to the chosen seat, this whole building breathes history. Perfect view on the first balcony.
- Ross GroomJanuary 2, 2018Great old theatre with high quality showings. Have seen the curious incident of the dog in the night time and the Ferryman.
- Jonathan BeestonOctober 25, 2016I wouldn't book seats in the rear half of the stalls as the balcony starts to obstruct the view of the top of the stage.
- Bijan YoungMay 25, 2022Outstanding language & writing. Great acting and story of all times. What theatre was meant for.
- Adam KemenyJuly 10, 2013Private Lives. Great play but 3rd act too short to warrant an interval. Don't bother with the bar. You'll be out beer you know it.
- Roman TomjakFebruary 24, 2017Grand circle seats have a good view of the stage even at the very back, but I wouldn't sit too far on the sides, your view will be blocked
- AaronMay 31, 2014Stunningly beautiful theatre! Saw Blithe Spirit there. Love old classic theatres like this.
- courtney schielaSeptember 2, 2014Saw 'the curious incident of the dog in the night'. It was very well done. Definitely lived up to my high NY broadway standards.
- Jason H.February 6, 2016Charming theater! Don't sit too far back in the stalls or your view of the stage will be blocked.
- Enzo MartinelliMarch 8, 2017Great historical theatre with a creative and very enjoyable production of the Curious Incident
- Phil KenchNovember 10, 2010The bar in the basement at the back of the stalls is very quiet before the shows start and cooler than the theatre in the interval
- Simon WicksJuly 2, 2014He really does tell you how he solved the math puzzle if you hang around after it's finished! - (Curious incident of the dog in the nighttime)
- Fahad AloAugust 15, 2019The staff are so friendly, but in the theater there were bugs and it was really annoying
- Iván FaríasOctober 20, 2012"You are not allowed to take photos of the stage". But you can still receive lots of "texts".
- c02innaNovember 25, 2013Stop by the stage doors after the show to say hi and thanks to the cast and crew!
- Jochen RostDecember 26, 2011Ladykillers - nice, but dry like a Martini. Doesn't translate from movie to stage, but is enjoyable to a point.
- There's a great production of Strangers on a Train from 4th November till 22nd February!!
- Aaron HuckettJanuary 29, 2010Avenue Q - a must see show. Probably not the most cultural of shows for those visiting, but a great laugh and fantastically un-PC. Read more
