    The Spanish Steps - between the Piazza di Spagna at the base and Piazza Trinità dei Monti --- A really beautiful place - best when not busy. Look out for Keats-Shelley Memorial House

    it s a crowded place . i like the atmosphere , people , lovers , tourist come together , one night i saw a lovely married proposal and it was a memorable night .

    One of the main attractions of rome. This place is very alive during the weekends, its surrounded with everything you can think of from jewelry stores to street artists. Its a must visit part of town.

    Beautiful to visit at sunset! Grab some food and sit on the stairs and soak in the scenery. No tour guide needed to experience the Spanish Steps.

    love the view from the top of the church...if you have a camera you MUST try it,because you have the whole Rome in your plate,after that,take an ice cream and enjoy it in Piazz di Spagna with others..

    Definitely my favorite place. If you are lucky you will enjoy in fashion show of famous world designers. Near square there are well known Italian brand stores!

    It's a place to chill, you've got so many steps, and each step is a place to sit... Look for a nice person and sit next to them and you just made a new friend.

    Named after the Spanish Embassy to the Holy See. In the 17th century the area around the embassy was even considered Spanish territory! Climb the 137 "Spanish steps" to reach the Trinità dei Monti.

    The apartment that was the setting for The Roman Spring of Mrs Stone (1961) is halfway up on the right. Bernardo Bertolucci's Besieged (1998) is also set in a house next to the steps.

    Reasonable to visit square really early in the morning (e.g.6.00) or late at night otherwise you’ll face many tourists sitting right on the ladder.

    Watch your pockets, there are a lot of indians shoving roses and other crap in your face, being pushy. It is always crowded, but you are around most of the shopping stores such as Prada.

    The stairs to Trinità dei Monti steal the scene. If you're more into the mundane, then via Condotti and its boutiques are on the opposite side.

    IT must be nicer in Summer when it's warmer or you can sit on the steps. They were being restored when I went.

    well it is a beautiful place but so crowded with tourists that you just can't spend a lot of time, and unlucky for us it was closed due to restoration i guess ☹

    Visit between the end of April to the end of May and the Spanish Steps are covered with pots of brightly coloured azaleas. Delightful
