Nice small airport, big duty free shop with local products, free wifi, and rare opportunity to walk from the gate to the plane right across the field!:)
The bus to the city is €6 but only has limited stops near railway station. A taxi is €15-18 from anywhere in city so is a good option if 2+ people are travelling
Small and overall well-organized airport. The places are pleasant and efficient enough. Lots of gourmet restaurants and Lambos on display at the entrance. Gate 12 has a fantastic view of the runway.
If you’re here, you’re just minutes away from the best tortellini you’ve ever had in your life. Just go in any direction until you see some tortellini and start eating.
There is some food and drink airside, but the La Ghiotta coffee shop before security is far better than the one airside (more choice of pastries and snacks, proper baristas).
The business lounge is pretty nice and HAS ITS OWN DEDICATED FAST TRACK SECURITY CHECKPOINT. I believe you can buy a day pass to access it. On a day when security is delayed, it could be worth it.
Recently renewed, it's one of the most efficient airport in Italy. To get to central station, take the "BLQ" bus outsid the arrival (6 eur...too expensive)
Don’t forget the pack &go facility near departures where you can check your baggage weight and repack if you need to. Then you know for sure at checking in without risking repacking in a queue
Small compared to European hubs but enough interesting shops and eateries around for your last Italian treats! The check in counters are a bit unsigned. But you won't get lost!
Viaggi con un bimbo che ha meno di 2 anni? “Family Fast Track” e salti la fila ai controlli! Travelling with a child less than 2 years old? “Family Fast Track” and jump over the Security queue!
Italian electrical engineer and Nobel Prize winner Guglielmo Marconi was named to the airport . In 2011, 5,885,884 passengers used the airport . 8. It is the busiest airport in Italy.
Love the little business lounge: you can check your bags and passport inside it! Btw, when landing @ BLQ no fingers here and you'll wait sooo long for your luggage, everytime!
If you are going to use the Business Lounge, go up the escalators and keep right. Don’t go through security, you can access fast track security from the lounge.
Bring your very own air conditioning system. The temperature inside the terminal is unbearable! BLQ, please turn on that A/C...passengers need to breath some fresh air!
If you wanna eat or just have a cup of coffee try to do it before passport control or even before security check, in the gate area there is a really poor choice
Be careful with the luggage deposit service! The automatic payment machine had a problem and some of the staff were indifferent like there was no time pressure for our flight.
Refund your tax, allow at least 40 minutes. VAT refund on the extreme of 1st F. & show: boarding p. ( Non-European C), passport, tax free forms AND the goods. Then go to the tax rfnd office.
The most terrible aurport I've ever been. Had to queue for 30 min cause only one counter for check-in was operating. Then had to queue another line for 30 min for security check.
