This location in the heart of Times Square is super busy but service is handled fairly quick. I've tried Shake Shack plenty of times almost everywhere! Consistently great burgers, always way to go
Danny Meyer's billion dollar burger chain reaches its apex at the The Times Square location for a very simple reason: It's the only one that's open until midnight. Read more
This decade-old Danny Meyer E coast burger & shake chain serves my 2nd fave burger- Single Shack Burger w/ Pat LaFreida's 100% all-natural Angus beef...altho' their Shack fries top my #1 fave In-N-Out
The chicken sandwich is a must. I hope it stays forever. I love the shack stack. Those delicious fried portobello tops and that sauce are a match made in heaven.
Still craving the black and white (frozen custard with fudge) shake. Also the concretes have a special flavor each day of the week. The c-line for these means a 5 minute wait instead of out the door.
Whoa long line but moves super fast. Crowded so keep a lookout an open table while waiting for your # to be called. Burger is just ok but worth a try. Crinkle cut fries are a must.
Visiting from Toronto and we decided to try it! Did not disappoint, burgers were juicy with fresh toppings. Simple and delicious. Make sure to pick up condiments as they do not come dressed!
The double shack burger is delicious. Had a strawberry milkshake too and it was excellent. Best fast foodshake I've had. Bit expensive though, dbl shack burger, fries and shake for almost $20
Try any of their many NYC locations--you can't go wrong. If you are hungry for something outside of the burgers, try the incredible spicyfried chicken. Bonus: you can order brews & wine.
Awesome food! Purple cow was delicious. GO EARLY! Worth the money but can be a huge time killer if you are on vacation. There is a reason people wait in line.

If you haven't had Shake Shack but think you love burgers, you don't as much as you think you do. It's one of America's best fast-food burgers. Yes, better than In-N-Out, and yes, it has its own se...
It might look commercial but they are some of the best burgers in town. Worth the wait. Although most locations are better, as in everything time square is crowded and full of tourists.
Don't get impressed by the line. It goes fast. And it's worth to wait and try the Smoke Shack and the cheese fries. Despite being a chain, they serve really gourmet burgers!
Shackmeister Ale, cheese fries and a few double Shack burgers. For one or two people, it doesn't matter, you will leave very happy. Sit on the floor if you have to!
No mattar who many good burgers i've ever had. Shake shack is my fav. I love this juicy meat with that greasy mustered sauce oh so yum. No other place can do it better!
Open til midnight so indulge in your late night burger cravings. They also have fries to get rid of at the end of the night for free so keep that in mind potato lovers
Shake Shack opened its Upper West Side outpost in 2008, and the lines have been around the block ever since. If you go for an afternoon snack, you should be able to waltz in for their shroom burger.
Shack Stack!! Portobello mushroom with fried cheese. The cheese oozes out whilst you bit into the burger. So delicious. The concretes are good too! Just super long lines :(
Shake Shack has been listed among some of America's finest dining establishments in a new ranking of the country's best restaurants according to The Daily Meal list. NYC dominate the top 20 spots.
Furthermore, walk around the corner and go split a 5 Napkin burger. You'll get just as much burger, with gruyere, caramelized onions, and better fries for $8 each. We did. Literally right after.
Went into ShakeShake expecting a gut bomb similar to Steak n Shake or In & Out, but was surprisingly amazed. All fresh and high quality ingredients with lots of smang flavors. Overall mad tasty
Not the best Shake Shack around (what do you expect, it's Times Square)... but still the best burger in the area. Perfectly cooked burgers and delicious shakes. Hard to find a seat in this place.
Ok... All the hype is god good reason. The smokshack burger with bacon and chili is to die for. It was soo good I didn't want to finish it... Fantastic! (Minus the jungle crowd)
The burger is so good you don't need anything else on it except for cheese. If there's no seating, you can get it to go and sit at a table in Times Square.
I got the chicken dog and strawberry shake (2 out of 5 stars). If your type of food is plain American food, then this is it. Good luck finding a spot to eat on a Wednesday afternoon in the summer.
Often busy with lines out the door and mostly filled with tourists. Avoid this location or if you're on iOS, use the Shack App (no Android version at the moment) to order ahead and skip the line.
Queue up, get your burger, grab a corner of standing counter. Eat, enjoy, then mosey out and make way for someone else - camp out at a table and I murder you with my eyes.
The smokeshack is delicious, but if you don't like spicy food you might want to skip the red pepper. Delicious fries, good prices and free drink refills.
I have friends who don't like cinnamon and nutmeg. If you are one too, stay away from the Mexican fudge browniecustard. It's actually spicy. The burger though - love it love it love it!!!
The NYC version of In and Out or the Midwest version of Steak n Shake. Concretes are like Pokémon--different versions at different locations so you have to travel to like them all.
This new location just opened, so the lines will be predictably epic. Stop by in the late afternoon when the crowds thin out and order their famed frozen custard along with your burger. Read more
Shack stack (beef burger+Shrooms burger) with cheese fries then chocolate trufflecookie doughconcrete to finish. Sedap gila tahap dewa which basically translates f**king delicious.
It has a long line but moves pretty fast. The shroom burger is like cheesy mushroom dont get me wrong its gooooood. Well, had 3 variants of their burger all was goooood!
This one has the curse of being crowded ALL OF THE TIME, so be pacient while you hunt for a seat. And remember, there's a water station right next to the restroom.
I read all of the reviews saying this place had the best burgers, and after eating here I couldn't agree more. It honestly is delicious. Hoping we get some in St. Louis.
This gourmet burger joint masquerades as a cookie-cutter chain, but don't be fooled: there's some serious gourmet ingredients & styling to this menu. Salted caramelhot cocoa is a must on a cold day.
Shake Shack is a modern day “roadside” burger stand known for its delicious burgers, chicken, hot dogs, frozen custard, shakes, crinkle-cut fries, and more.
