Now it's a great clean beach from what it used to be, best time still at 5 am morning or then after 9 at night
Ania SmoleńOctober 12, 2013Go for a take away pizza hut before the security check. You can take it through all procedures and enjoy almost normal meal while waiting for your flight.
The new airport's great except for food choices. Also be prepared to walk a lot from your terminal to the plane/bus that's taking you to the plane. It's a never ending path.
Finally some decent food options here, including a KFC and idly.com

Get your bags screened as soon a you enter to avoid queuing twice. Airport is busy but safe, but as its domestic, local rules apply, don't queue - push in.... And just accept others will too! :-)
Ankur NigamMarch 29, 2021Medium size airport with no / closed lounge. Most of the seats are either occupied or too dirty for anyone to sit so no point of coming early here. Has a good vibe with sea murals painted on the wall.
Rewan PartiDecember 31, 2014Recently renovated airport, taxi lines during peak season are long. Baggage comes fairly quickly.- If you have an afternoon flight, get here early to give itself time for mandatory baggage scanning, check-in and security check. The lines tend to get very long.
The airport has changed...looks better but support systems not in place....long queues at boarding, baggage screening...everywhr!- New intl airport but the lines are insanely long for baggage screening to check in and then security is awful for aft flights, so go at least 90 mins before your flight!

- kartik sJanuary 6, 2016Avoid the "Chicago crust" snack bar in the departure lounge. The food is lousy. In addition, avoid the seats near Gate H-it is near the smokers lounge.
Lot changed in 3 years. International terminal started, nice flyover approach 👍
Mayur MilanApril 1, 2013Well, the old airport terminal is exactly that... an old world airport. No glitz no glamour to one of the most tourist heavy airport in the country. Hopefully the new 1 will have some Goa Charm to it.
Do not rent at the airport in an unlocked baggage money, cell phones and other valuables. If you need wrap with foil. The friends wife, upon arrival in Moscow, the iPhone and the money disappeared.

Arun SathiyaJuly 2, 2017Probably the worst airport ever I've been to. Hardly any shops here, and there are ton of rats, rodents, insects inside the airport. Inside boarding area, I mean. Water is dripping from the ceiling.
