- Gábor SziládiFebruary 24, 2017Nice place with a friendly staff. English is a must as only 1 or 2 waiters speak hungarian. I liked the interior especially the paintings on the ceiling. I recommend the chicken ramen with chopstick;)
- Thomas CraenenAugust 9, 2015We went here on our first night in Budapest as it was the only restaurant still open late in the evening. We had beef noodle soup which tasted great. Service is very good.
- SlavaMay 8, 2017Looks like it's more chinese than Japanese place but food is quite tasty though and stuff is really kind. Vegetarian options are also here. Must eat: all kinds of wonton dumplins. Like! 👍
- Momotaro's been around for a while, and for good reason: predictably good Chinese cuisine. They used to own the ramen crown, but with worthy recent challengers now in town, they need to up their game.
- Zoe T. ✨March 24, 2016Ramen isn't my favorite here but the dim sum and beef dishes are pretty solid; also the pig red bean buns are adorable and also delicious
- Bence FaludiAugust 20, 2015Great Chinese restaurant. You'll get a free tea for your meal. Usually you can find a lot of Chinese people in the restaurant so It's a good sign if you're looking for a proper food.
- Elza123February 17, 2018The ramen and the fried banana are amazing, the prices are good and the waiters are very nice, though most of them only speak english, not hungarian. I didn’t really like the vegetable dumplings
- Shaileshwori SharmaJune 2, 2016I like their authentic dim sums (shrimp) and vegetable sides more than the ramen soups. Good service, good for groups but go with a booking beforehand.
- Mattias WachtmeisterAugust 6, 2014Amazing to find this quality of food and service at this seemingly unremarkable backstreet Chinese/Japanese. Dont hesitate - go in and you will wish to return.
- Balazs TimkoJuly 9, 2016Good ramen and steamed dumplings, not too clean and fancy, but that's the part of the asian feeling:)
- MihaMay 2, 2014Surprised by all the good tips. I was thorougly disappointed by the ramen. This is not the ramen I'm used to from every other place I've been to. Also, eggs were at least a couple of weeks old. 😓
- Dominique KuoAugust 21, 2015Soup noodles are so good. The soup base is light but with very good taste! And xiao long bao!
- This is a nice place which doesn't seem to be a Chinese restaurant but it is!Try their dumplings, seaweed salad or the fantastic fried rices.
- We Love BudapestApril 5, 2012Ramen and dumpling are available for a very cheap price here, in Széchenyi Street. It is a miracle how they can keep the quality of food on a high level all the time.
- Great Japanese/Chinese hybrid restaurant. Dumplings and Ramen are a must! Price is moderate compared to the great quality of dishes.
- Ivan Aller AresAugust 30, 2015After living for 5 years in Shanghai, this is the first authentic Chinese restaurant I have tried in Budapest...
- Rob CAugust 8, 2014Go for the zhajiangmian (noodles with pork and soybean paste) if the weather's too hot for ramen.
- The place looks old and dirty but it's actually a very good restaurant and the food is fucking amazing! Definitely a must if you're longing for Asian food in Budapest.
- Irina IssakovaJuly 21, 2016Dumplings (with soup inside) were amazing. Definitely try. A nice respite from the heavy Hungarian food.
- We Love BudapestApril 5, 2012You can get the most for your money. They give you perfect quality, first class ingredients and you can’t eat a better ramen or jiaozi anywhere in the city.
- Nikolett SzabóAugust 31, 2014Awesome dumplings, highly recommended! But be careful with ramen: gigantic portions especially with extra tofu...
- 𝙻𝚒𝚕𝚒á𝚗𝚊 ✨February 10, 2013Service was amazing super nice staff and food is really good big portions you definitely get the value for money!
- Balázs SzatmáriDecember 18, 2013Don't be misled by the interior, the ramen and the dumplings are just perfect!
- Pawel CJune 17, 2015Very good xiaolongbao. Menu looks great and most dishes are very affordable. Worth coming back
- NazJune 7, 2018Everything in the menu is great. The best service ever. Everyone is very attentive and friendly.
- József VeszaMarch 17, 2015Ramen was great. Just make sure you save some space for the dumplings as well.
- Momotaro dumplings, chicken gong bao and sweet-sour soup are my all-time favs.
- Toby VockrodtMarch 18, 2013Best ramen I've had, period. Sure beats any Ramen place I've been to in the U.S.
- Sally DunnJanuary 14, 2012Best ramen in the city. Good value for money, worth the visit if you are in the mood for some asian food.
- Rob CJune 11, 2013A bit confused as it's eponymously Japanese but serves primarily Chinese fare. They serve ridiculously good ramen though and the xiao long bao is definitely worth a try.
- Dumplings are surprisingly good, and can rival dumplings I've had in New York's Chinatown
- The kitchen's noise level is annoying. The ramen is very nice. The stir-fried bamboo/shitake was nice but oily together with stir-fried noodle/vegetables. Food good, service ok, ambiance terrible.
- Chen XiMay 12, 2013Despite what the name may suggest, this is actually a Chinese restaurant, not a Japanese restaurant. Nevertheless, the food is not bad and is quite similar to what you get on the streets in China.
- Eugene MatveyevDecember 8, 2017Variety of dishes, but quality is so-so. Depressing interiors. Fast and nice service, but that's all. Don't recommend to visit.
- Ask for half portion of noodles in the ramen soup, if you want to have seconds... :)
- a must for at least popping in for a ramen. all food is fine.
- Nikolaj JulianaSeptember 8, 2018This place is simply not a ramen restaurant. Recommend going elsewhere :)
- Ivana VasiljDecember 8, 2014Tried the chicken ramen. It was merely okay. The interior is a bit depressing, the service average, and prices a bit too high for what they offer.
- Dávid VeszelovszkiFebruary 8, 2015Awkward old Hungarian hunters' trophies everywhere :) But the food is excellent!
