- Helgi frá BreiðholtiFebruary 25, 2013Last chance to try liqurice and chocolate, the Icelanders' favorite candy. My personal favorite is Draumur. You can get it in both the Dutyfree and Inspired by Iceland.Upvoted Mar 20
- Everyone in their lifetime must visit this airport to check out THE BATHROOMS!! The halls are lined with linoleum walkways that have pebbles. Nice airport. I approve.
- Joffrey LacourFebruary 3, 2015Don't take the taxi to Reykjavik, it's very VERY expensive. FlyBus trips are about 4x cheaper and will drop you straight to your hotel too.
- Save yourself a ton of money: buy booze at the duty free when you land. When bar hopping in the city, pay attention to the happy hours!
- Wilson Favre-DelerueJuly 18, 2017What's not to like about an airport with Nordic design, efficiency and attention to detail, with friendly staff and a fabulous retail and F&B mix to boot. 👍🏻🇦🇽✈️
- Vicki WuMarch 21, 2017So impressed by the security process here. Lots of staff, plus everything is automated and super efficient. You scan your own boarding pass and the baskets for the screening process is automated!
- Jenny L.November 18, 2017Mathus hot dog for 490 kr. and 980 kr. for beer. Save 600 kr. by going to Pure Food Hall across the way for the same Einstök beer 380 kr.
- Katarína DedinskáSeptember 16, 2016Great airport, small, cozy and as opposite to other airports and their glass there is lot of wood. Great shop with local products. Exprnsive af, but that is everthing there. Bus transfer around 30€ rt
- AldonaMay 8, 2014We've spent the night at the departures, no problem with anyone telling anyone they're not allowed to sleep there. 10/11 open, clean free toilets, little sitting available, also – no crowd ;).
- 𝙻𝚒𝚕𝚒á𝚗𝚊 ✨January 10, 2020Nice airport, reasonable amount of shops and places to eat. If your flight is in the morning make sure you arrive super early to the airport - the line for security check was huge!
- Jessica LordMay 19, 2016There is food beyond the US passport and boarding pass checks—plus wifi, USB and US (and more) power outlets.
- Monique W. @ An Unstoppable JourneyJune 24, 2013The airport is one of the few in the world that is tax-free & duty-free. You can shop duty free on arrival. Alcohol is expensive in Reykjavik, may want to consider purchasing before leaving airport.
- Majed AlashariJune 26, 2019Nice modern airport & Iceland only international airport. Free WiFi available & nice food & coffee options. In arrival wear you jacket before getting out of the airport, it is very windy.

- Emma LarsonMarch 31, 2016Really gorgeous airport with a lot of amenities. But be aware, sometimes you won't be able to get to your gate early as they'll keep it locked off for a while.
- IcelandJanuary 13, 2011This is an air-port where most of my visitors land when they visit me in flying machines. (Don't worry, it does not hurt when they land.) It is close to my Blue Lagoon, where many humans like to swim.
- Maggie MacGAugust 18, 2015Great terminal for those in transit from US to UK. Nicest airport bathrooms I've been in anywhere in the world with private sinks in each toilet. Great duty free shop with local wool goods.
- JasonJune 10, 2016The gift shop upstairs has more selection and is bigger than the one downstairs. The bathrooms by gate 32 are spacious and accommodate your luggage.
- Clean, efficient, and compact airport with very good (fast) luggage handling on arrival. And a tax free arrival store; a "lifesaver" given the price of alcohol in the government-run monopoly stores.
- Shiwi S.December 16, 2014Very small airport. Free wifi. Cheaper duty free alcohol than in the city. Hot dog in the food court was really medicore compared to ones in the city. Most amazing bathrooms I've ever seen.Upvoted Feb 16

- NatalyaJanuary 2, 2013Tax refund counter is hard to find. It's behind Atlantic Bistro next to duty free shop. Just hand your receipts with credit card number to the girl walking around and go, easier than waiting in line.
- Hitch YazSeptember 7, 2022Save your empty bottles and don’t buy bottles of water. Instead go to the fountain by the bathrooms. The best water is from Iceland after all and it is free!
- Elyse BouvierDecember 30, 2013There is airport luggage storage… beside the car rental pales about a 500m walk. I wouldn't recommend trying it in winter or you'll just be walking on the icy roads. But it's there if you need!
- Asia MinorDecember 12, 2013Iceland air offers free stopovers, but plan ahead if transiting. They also have a chain of hotels and organized tours can be booked at the hotel. Fly us with Internet best way into out of town.
- Deborah LazaroffAugust 21, 2018There’s a large area downstairs on the D terminal side with bathrooms and at least 100 seats with charging stations that was under utilized. A quiet getaway if you have a layover/waiting to take off.
- Stephanie HOctober 5, 2022Great wifi, great design, futuristic bathrooms, even premium artisan souvenirs like hand forged jewelry— only issue is a bit pricy like the rest of Iceland :-)
- Ben KnutOctober 17, 2016Bring warm clothes in AIRPLANE when using wow or Iceland air. Island people are used to the cold and will set the temperature 3-5 degrees lower than our normal room temperature inside the plane.

- ninaJanuary 30, 2014You literally have to exit through a gift shop to get to your gate, which is kind of funny. Also, some of the nicest bathrooms of all time are downstairs in the departure area. (I'm serious!)
- Erin PettigrewAugust 31, 2011If you're here in milder weather, consider waiting for your flight outside. You can sprawl on the grass just outside the ticketing desks and get your fill of the otherworldly Icelandic air and rays.
- Lef GermenlisNovember 3, 2017Really chilled airport, went really quick through security and there are plenty of places to eat and drink during the day but unfortunately not that many in the evening/night
- Go to LOKSINS bar for some great draft beer. One in the main hall and another one down by the D gates (post passport control). If you are a smoker, you can bring your drink to the smoking area nearby.
- Chet ManciniJuly 27, 2017"D" gates can take up to 20 minutes to get to after security because you must get through passport control. There is a second duty free next to gates so you can still do your shopping.
