- There's both a paid shuttle or subway to the airport. You can also just walk inside to the airport if time allowsUpvoted 3 days ago
- You are better off buying your ticket with a travel agent. Need to pay an extra 20 rmb but worth it. No need to wait at the station. Always busy here.Upvoted Mar 12

- Amy SullivanDecember 22, 2018Pick up tickets inside, after security. If you don’t have a Chinese National ID card, you’ll show your passport/ID at the desk to the left of the automated ID turnstiles.
- Everything is like a race. Feel rushed. Restless on the departure floor..
- Plan your trip well. Every steps you will do in this station, you have to que in line. Starting from the security check, buying ticket, etc; even from getting yourself a free bottled water!
- Are you in a hurry? You can actually take the earlier train which stops at your destination. Go thru the lady/guy checking the ticket. And tell them you are in a hurry. I just did, now..

- Lyzhnikov JenyaJuly 17, 2013If u wanna buy a ticket here, so you should have 2-3 hours before train. Anyway you can buy a ticket in small ticket places in Shanghai, but they can sell them only before close (around 5 p.m.).

- Naoki FerrioJanuary 9, 2019Has a self deposit luggage locker near every check in gate (20 rmb/ large luggage and 10 rmb for small luggage for 8 hours).
- You need to get a ID check first. Foreigners probably need to ask the staff for check. Food is on the second floor. Starbucks in the first floor does not offer food heating.
- People pours like rain.. The word "DISCIPLINE" is not part of the vocabulary; especially getting the ticket.

- If you come in before 10:45pm line 2 is still open especially since the taxis are scarce and the lines atrocious
- Jung KimJune 10, 2019If you have to pick up your tickets, first go inside (thru ID and baggage check) and stand in this line in the picture.
- If you have a passport, find the passengers’ entrance gate at which an officer will check it. You won’t be able to use the automatic gates that accept Chinese IDs.
- If you wanna go to Hongqiao Airport, follow the subway signs and take the metro line 10. Terminal 2 is the first stop, terminal 1 is the second. It costs only RMB 3,00.

- The meal set in FamilyMart should be the cheapest and vablable meal at this tran station(Only in the metro station).

- Starbucks near gate 1 and costa coffee on the opposite side, if you want more options go to first floor.
- Keep in mind when you enter the station from the Metro you are at track 30, and track 1 is at the faaaaaar end. Just in case you're in a hurry....

- H. RosnerFebruary 26, 2015Big, bright train station. Long line-ups to buy or change tickets. Do not check ID when entering security like at some train stations, but always xray bags. Gates open 15 minutes before train leaves.
