- Lidiia IulinaAugust 24, 2016Amazing place to take a cup of coffee and something sweet and enjoy exquisite taste of Vienna... You can also buy something for a present. Look, what an awesome bag they give for your purchase!
- Reem Al-AbdulkarimJuly 10, 2016The chocolate was really good. enjoyed the desserts and the coffee 👌🏼 but the staff was rude! It took us 14 minutes to find the person who is responsible for the seating!!!!
- Wayne AndermanJanuary 31, 2019Another original purveyor to the Imperial Court (Hofzuckerbäcker). Great coffee and pastries with excellent dining room. Top in the city to rival Sacher. Not to miss.
- Bogdana BMay 12, 2019Great atmosphere (you feel as if you’ve stepped back in time) and a great breakfast place too! The cakes are delicious and you get to see how they’re made too! The waiters could be nicer though ...
- Richard FooApril 2, 2015Excellent place for a slice of cake and pastries and a cup of coffee or tea. All their cakes are yummy. You can even see how the cakes are prepared from the open kitchen. Be prepared to queue.
- Aleksandra KrólJune 8, 2015Sacher torte definitely worth eating! It's a must during your stay in Vienna. Inside you can also see how sacher, apfelstrudel and other cakes are being made. Friendly staff, sacher costs less than €5
- AbdullahNovember 14, 2018It is my first time having Einspanner, which should not be stirred, and Sachertorte, which looks like a typical chocolate cake, yet tasty. Amazing and so luxurious interior place. Worth another visit.
- The Taste SheriffApril 27, 2015The best example of great marketing. You give a royal flair to your (centrally located) coffee shop to match the vibe of the city, you serve mediocre deserts, and that's it, you've made it.
- Rafa LarrañagaDecember 31, 2013If you are willing to deal with the tremendously rude waitress of the first floor you will enjoy a nice slice of sacher cake with coffee or hot chocolate...
- alia octhoraDecember 29, 2014All cakes are yuumm yumm, famous for their chocolate and pastry, In the afternoon or evening too pack for ppl dine in or to go, hardly to find table, even in the bar.
- Sergio SmithDecember 3, 2017Long queue, apfelstrudel was cold. Same as the heart of the waiter and water in the bathrooms. Interior isn’t anything special. Prices above average. Tasty cream and coffee though.
- giota pipiOctober 28, 2015Great desserts!!!!! Big selection! The interior design is amazing. You can also see the process of making the desserts through a glass. A company with a history definitely worth of visiting
- Elizaveta T.January 6, 2015Spiegelei mit Schinken and Wiener Fruhstuck. Very good house coffee, awesome cakes (hazelnut or vanilla). Reservations necessary, recommend to go there for breakfast (book second floor, near windows)
- Fairil YeoJanuary 14, 2016The signature hot chocolate is very good. Not to heavy and not light at all. Also a mind boggling number of pastries and a shop front to take away chocolates.
- tigz de palmaDecember 26, 2016no point being in vienna & not stopping in. cakes & strudels are perfection. there's a coffee house in back. but if crowded, take away & enjoy the packaging as well. open everyday through holidays.
- AnaïsJuly 9, 2016If you want to eat there go directly to the back room. You can seat by yourself except for the first floor. Delicious drinks and cakes, not too expensive considering it's a luxury bakery.
- Yuri IchijōJuly 21, 2015Very delicious [& strong] cold chocolate! Comes with ice cubes & cream. Vanilla cream cake is good, too. I recommend asking if something contains alcohol before ordering. Free water & pretty interior.
- Andrey IvashurovNovember 1, 2014One of the must have visit places in Vienna. Take a table on a street, walk in, choose a dessert and enjoy. There may be a queue on the entrance, but it's worth to wait.
- Rik van der SchalieApril 16, 2014Another old-fashioned Viennese coffee house with beautiful interior. Not cheap, but good service and a sizeable Kaiserschmarren which tasted great!
- Kimmy KhooFebruary 2, 2017Nothing much. Tried the apple strudel, schaumrolle, mini sandwiches, fachertorte and senegaltorte but didn't fancy anything. They make each person in a group order something so you can't share here.
- Vilena ⚓July 24, 2015Have a scoop of punch flavored ice cream, it's unreal! And I don't even like punch flavored ice cream! Also, go inside and have a look at the making of Demel sweets!
- Sofia GalegoDecember 9, 2015Do not miss it for the world! Is old, traditional, the cakes are awesome and breakfast amazing! Go for the experience!
- Raymond StroeJuly 24, 2015One of the most famous bakeries in Vienna with a huge selection of traditional austrian cakes and pastries. Don't miss to get a cake when you walk around the Graben!
- Sevgi SairogluJanuary 4, 2015Worth waiting in the line. Try apfelstrudel or sacher cake if you are fond of chocolate. Homemade cheesecake is also a good choice 👌
- giota pipiNovember 29, 2015The cakes taste AMAZING!! This is one of the best patisseries outside paris. The chocolate truffle cake, the chocolate cake, the esterhazy and the strawberry are👌✌️👏
- Alina RediFebruary 9, 2016Sacher torte is the best in Vienna👌The schnitzel is also excellent, though. Go to the second floor when in Demel
- Cristina SinghelMarch 15, 2015Delicious sweets and lovely place! As an additional information, if you want to eat there, you also must order something to drink. Otherwise, they'll tell you to leave
- Opens daily at eight. Get here before 08.30 to get a table without reservations. Breakfast and coffe! And dessert-heaven!
- Even though it's a very touristy place, cakes are simply exceptionally good there, just as Demel's seasonal decorations❤️
- ZeynepOctober 27, 2014Very good atmosphere and delicious desserts. It worths to wait in long queues. If possible making a reservation recommended.
- Foodtraveler_theworldMay 1, 2019Well known for chocolate cake (sacher)& hot chocolate but I prefer Apple Strudel. Cake & hot chocolate are a bit too sweet. 10 minutes waiting time, staffs are too busy to be attentive.
- Elga NafikovaFebruary 25, 2018Mout-watering deserts, exquisite interior and regal atmosphere. Waiters are very nett, nice and polite. But as for me, coffee wasn't so good as I expected.
- Hitomi NDecember 25, 2018Wait for your table given at the cafe. If you want cakes, need to back the cake shop and ask the one you want, then get the ticket for it and passed it to your service staff at your table.
- Zeynep MulvalıDecember 15, 2019You have to wait in long queue to be seated. Luxurious and Old but sooo Stylish. I really like all pies and torte. Melange coffee also
- NawafApril 12, 2013Cafe and restaurant blends culture and history of everything, cakes, coffee and croissants and breakfast is very tasty
- Bulut CalisirFebruary 6, 2020Drinks were tasty, cakes were delish. Such a historic gem in Vienna. Must see and try.
- Ahmet Talha YıldırımFebruary 6, 2017Always crowded, quality products and historical, authentic. If you want to avoid touristic popular places, stay away from here. Also there's better shops if you are looking for some sweet souvenirs.
- Canan CmDnzMarch 28, 2015Nice patisserie with a traditional austrian interior design. You can have delicious cakes with a lovely service, but their coffees taste definetly poor.
- Marwane GouraudFebruary 22Cool local place kind of English breakfast adorable ladies who work there cakes r super good, Benedict eggs unfortunately r boiled eggs so don’t order that anything else is ok not that wow
- Amal AlBaderAugust 7, 2016I loved their apple pie or I don't know what do they call it... tasty and there is mini size from it.. good price too
- Marousa VailaJanuary 10, 2020Nice hot chocolate and sweets. Be patient and you will get sitted in this beautiful area. ☕️🍥🧁
- Sydney FisherApril 9, 2015Cozy place. Extensive cake menu! Great place for coffee and dessert. Very friendly staff.
- Sharon P.March 3, 2016Glad we went, but the pastries and cakes are so-so. Get the apfelstrudel. Also, peek into the kitchen to see the bakers in action!
- Ahad IbrahimJuly 4, 2023Good place to have a nice cup of melange and rest from all the walking. They say it’s a historical place. The coffee was nice, and the chocolate cake was average for my taste.
- Alexandra OsipovaAugust 24, 2014Classy and classic, good coffee, most famous desserts of Vienna. Check out the glass walls to watch how the desserts are made.
- IlyaNovember 2, 2018Stunning bakeries and great melange coffee. All with authentic interior and Viennese coffee house experience.
- Milad CerkicJune 20, 2016You have to wait in long queue to be seated. Luxurious. Old. Stylish. Apparently the best Sahertorte and Apfelstrudel. Like it.
- Benni PrinzJuly 12, 2015Go to the Restaurant upstairs. You can also see into the pastry kitchen to see them make some of the desserts.
