- LufthansaOctober 17, 2012Budapest, city of narrow streets and wide boulevards. The Hungarian capital has been included on the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites. Tip: Visit Budapest for "Night of Baths" on 10 March 2013.
- Modern airport with all the facilities you need, but check in is often crowded. Affordable food and coffee. Sofas in the waiting area are outdated thus need repair. Chargers and free wifi available.
- As of July 2017 you can reach the city center with public bus 100E. It's fast (~30 min) and cheap (HUF900 which is ~€3).Upvoted Feb 16
- Angelos PappasJanuary 29, 2018Welcome to Budapest! The city has an extensive bike rental system, which is really easy to use, has English support lines and is super cheap (around 1.50€ for a 24h ticket).
- It is a great, easy and pretty optimal airport. You have great options to shop and eat after check in. Be fit if you fly with Wizz, Ryanair or Easyjet. You will have to walk a bit on the fresh air 😉
- Oleg Ivchenko [Kamchatsky]September 13, 2014Gates 12-19 are lowcost gates routing you to a separate building which looks like a stable but pretty clean and with wifi :) true low cost!
- Romashka CustistayaMarch 2, 2018Like it, not far from the city, 200e at night from Deak Ference to airport, 35 minutes and you are here, every half an hour. WiFi is free and fast. Food court on the second floor.
- Best and the biggest airport in Hungary. It is vers clean and modern there are a lot of shops (Hugo Boss,Heinemann Duty free,Relay,Virgin,Hard Rock,Playersroom and a lot of more) Sky Court view is👌🏼
- Parking, careful! No drop off, only if you are super fast. Just happened: pay point said "free to go", then the barrier stopped me. By the time you are back to the pay point again, it's already 7 EUR!
- If you have a Master Card Gold/Platinum/World/Fancy/Luxy go to MasterCard Lounge with free food and booze. WiFi Password: mastercard
- Mark LeeMay 28, 2017Fast track can be purchased from machines. Platinum Lounge (free with Priority Pass; 25€) beyond Passports in Terminal 2B has great soup, meat, salads, alcoholic & soft drinks & coffees: runway view.
- Turkish AirlinesJune 29, 2014Welcome to Budapest! Need tips on what sights to see? The suspension bridge which brings together both sides of the Danube river is worth seeing in this marvelous city.
- a bit overcrowded, but otherwise a very nice airport. Plenty of shops, restaurants and a good duty free.
- It became a bit crowded airport the last few years, especially with the pre-6AM flights. Terminal 2B could be a nightmare. An advice: do not leave any valuable items in your check-in luggage!!!
- NmAugust 10, 2020Hire a taxi to get to the city centre and vice versa .. It will cost you around 30 Euros .. Approximately 35 minutes to reach to the city center !!
- Pierre HultbackApril 16, 201930 min from downtown into this smallish and efficient airport . At the time they were busy expanding new departure legs. Good assortment of duty free and restaurants. Tip: Buy the red Bock wine!
- Sean CraddockJuly 6, 2015If you're going from Gate B2-5 I'd recommend staying in the main departures area, once you scan you have to walk down and wait in a concrete hut on the airfield with no seats or shops!
- StergiosMarch 3, 2014Check the tax free offers. There's a single combo ticket (bus/metro) to the city center. Don't invalidate two seperate ones. Lovely food court with free wifi. Beware of scam taxi drivers.
- Reyhan SafarnegaarAugust 25, 2017The food court had a nice variation of foods, the security chek takes more than usual, so plan an hour more in the airport.
- Great Airport❤️ Duty free is great and there are a lot of great restaurants home airport for Wizzair and FREE WIFI for 2 hours
- Colin CharlesNovember 22, 2014Don't change money at the 0% commission money changers. USD$100 gets you about 19275 Hungarian Forint. Swap that same amount back to USD$71 only. Huge discrepancy. Cards widely accepted in Budapest
- Peter SigristJanuary 9, 2013Easiest way into town: buy a couple of travel vouchers in the newsagent for £1 each, take the bus to the first Metro stop (takes 10 mins) and you'll be in the city centre by Metro 15 minutes later.
- Reyhan SafarnegaarAugust 25, 2017Also the self chek-in machines can be at a risk cause they dont give you the exact seats you selected. We had to change them again at the counter.
- Werner HofmaDecember 11, 2017At this airport they have very long security queues. Have been here 1,5 h prior departure and missed my flight. Fast lane boarding available, don't hesitate to buy if you see a long queue.
- Free wifi, login needed though. Make sure you arrive ~2 hours before departure of you have checked luggage, as queues tend to move excruciayingly slowly. Otherwise a nice, clean little airport.
- If the security line at terminal 2b is long, walk over to terminal 2a. The line will be less busy and quicker. Or buy a fast pass from the kiosk for a couple of euros.
- Sasi SDecember 10, 2013If you're here for a week. It's best to get a 7 days ticket from here for all your travel cost during the week and you don't have to worry about getting it validated each time!
- Organized, easy to use airport with nice facilities. Free WiFi and good restaurants.
- fdrDecember 17, 2016Nicely rebuilt transit area with a wide variety of great stores. Security check is OK, but baggage drop-off can take a lot of time!
- Rene T.July 11, 2023Baggage handling on arrival was within 20 minutes. There is an exchange office in the arrivals area. At the exit at the left, a booth that organizes cab rides with a licensed cab at a fixed price.
- MuratNovember 7, 2019Small, but efficient. 25min from city center with no traffic (45-60min with traffic). Train is available, not easy to access. Foodcourt is good, but shops and lounges are limited. Passanger-friendly.
- Alexandros PlexidasJanuary 3, 2019Surprisingly big and with great variety for shopping and having something to eat/drink. Spacey and modern, it even has a small playground area for kids.
- favorite airport in the favorite country) clean, cosy and free wifi :)great food court and nice shops ))
- One of the best small airports, modern, free WiFi and plenty of power sockets upstairs. A couple of more security gates wouldn't hurt though to speed things up during rush hours.
- Budapest's only one airport, Terminal B is the only one operating at the moment. Various shops and wide assortment of products in the duty free shop. Find your gate asap!
- Veljanova🦊July 4, 2016If your baggage less than 10 kg also represents only manual luggage - go for registration in the right wing from an entrance at once! You need ONLY this way!
- mullampanriMarch 26, 2015Very clean and modern airport with a cheap store inside of it. There are two Info points where you can buy tickets or daily cards for the Budapest transport and get free city or transport maps. Super!
- The airport is pretty small compaired with other airports of capital cities. If you travel by low-cost airlines you have to walk through an outdoor corridor. (We call 'Monkey fence...') All in all OK.
- Réka ManonJune 4, 2015Open and lightfull space, free wifi, good place to start a journey! Measure your luggage size at home in order to avoid surprises (and extra fees)
- ÖzgürMay 12, 2019I think one of the best service airport. Much more Better than Paris airport with uncaring staff and no smoking area. This should be how to build and run the airport business.
- ChrisJuly 20, 2016Full of natural light and comfy sofas that can actually be used to lay down on. Never thought I'd praise an airport but this good!
- Mark BJune 28, 2018Madhouse airport depending on time of day. Give yourself a minimum of 2.5 hours for check-in. Lines can be outrageous early in the day, but they do move quickly.
- If you fly #Wizzair don't pay for the overpriced snacks in the departure area in terminal 2b. Just go downstairs shopping for less at #Spar. Great variety on pastries and freshly baked sandwiches.
- Bob RutledgeJuly 7, 2014To the left of Itnl Arrivals exit, this Vodaphone shop sells 1GB Data Sims for $20. With your passport, you're set for ~a week!
- ManderlejaJune 30, 2013Getting there: I would suggest train from Nyugati station to Ferihegy station (370huf adult), then change to bus 200E to Terminal 2 (300huf adult). Easy and inexpensive. Takes about 1 hour.
- Kostiantyn DymovAugust 17, 2019Quite a big airport with everything you need there. Reachable by buses 100E and 200E from Deák Ferenc Ter and Kőbánya-Kispest metro stations respectively.
- Vijay MalhotraOctober 14, 2018The airport is quite nice and cozy. The transport is sorted to and from the airport, Although thr security and check-in system is a bit all around the place.
- Reyhan SafarnegaarAugust 25, 2017Be aware of the staff attitude, every single task here can take a long long time. For the tax free they may chek all your goods.
- Turkish AirlinesDecember 3, 2014Welcome to Budapest! Make your winter holiday one to remember as you take a night cruise on the river Danube and see the beautiful sights around the city.
