- Eli TyphinaMay 3, 2013Go to a quite spot along the trail. If you sit by the edge of the water long enough you'll see fish jumping and hear frogs singing. On sunny days you' ll see lots of turtles.

- Morgan TalbotMarch 27, 2015If you missed the DO NOT SWIM signs, trust me. Don't swim in the lake! I had just moved here and got kiiilller strep throat after swimming in the lake. Such a bad idea. :(
- Don't walk down Avent Ferry while the bridge is out!! Take the long loop!!
- Take the dirt trail across the street from the boat house for an extra adventure
- Bring your eno hammock for a relaxing lakeside snooze!
