大庭城址公園の東に位置するこの公園は、良好な水辺空間の形成を図るために、旧建設省の「ふるさとの川モデル事業」の指定を受け、河川改修事業と一体的に整備したもの。 公園内には、気軽に自然とふれあうことができる湿性植物園や、藤棚、ツツジの丘、桜並木などがあり、河川区域内には緩やかな芝生の護岸や、親水広場、水と石の広場など、水と直に接することができる施設が整備され親しまれています、
