- Daniel GraysonFebruary 20, 2017Pork ramen. Pork broth. Love. All the portions are like twice as big as you might expect, so bring a friend and split things so you won't leave feeling like you need to lie down for a thousand years.
- Mat CollisNovember 14, 2017Best ramen I've had anywhere ANYWHERE in the united states. They also have Ghibli films playing 😍
- Sonya JonesJuly 5, 2018The best Sushi in Alameda, huge 🍱 bento box portions, delicious ramen and bonus Japanimation/anime on the TVs. Such an original place, you feel like you’re in Japan
- Danielle HowellMarch 27, 2017If you love anything Miyazaki, you'll love the awesome artwork in this place! Portions are huge and delicious and prices are reasonable :)
- Alex KimNovember 29, 2014Awesome, cozy vibe in here with the great artwork and fun action figures on the wall. Both sushi rolls and ramen are decent enough that I'd come back to try it again.
- _November 6, 2015Get the giant pork shoyu ramen! It's bigger than the size of your face! The sushi rolls are also huge here.
- Niña 🌺August 13, 2012I remember coming here when the special sushis were $2 cheaper and the salads and miso were free with any meal. But I still believe this is the best sushi house in Alameda! Oh Ps. Ponyo! <3
- The portions are fit for a king. Massive sizes of delicious bento box combos. Love the ramen, curries, and teriyaki.
- They just expanded! Way more seating now! Live this place, very quaint with reasonably priced sushi and really fresh. I always get the chirashi donburi.
- Ramen is made from pre-packed dry ramen (saw them bring out the box). Skip that unless you crave ramen. Fish is fresh. My favorites are Saba Shioyaki & Poke Maki! Majority of items under $10.
- chrisApril 14, 2017Went for the ramen and it was average. Big and nice chunks of pork, but thats about it. That said reminds me of old SF sushi places, really love the atmosphere and quantity over quality philosophy.
- JOctober 22, 2016I recommend the Teriyaki Chicken. The portion is enough for the two. And try the Gyoza dumplings.
- Trevor HeartleyJune 27, 2017This restaurant honestly has some of THE best ramen I've had in the Bay Area. It's absolutely AMAZING!
- Barry KwokJune 4, 2017More Yo-sham-bo. Not sure what all the rage is about. They served rolls with yet ripe avocado. I've had apples that were softer. The sashimi wasn't the freshest either.
- Trillian PetrovaAugust 9, 2012Best sushi in town. Looks a bit shabby but groovy, but the food is excellent and so is the service. good place to come with kids.
- VictoriaApril 20, 2010Ok, do NOT get the ramen here. It tastes suspiciously like instant Shin Ramen with a bunch of random things added (sprouts, onions, green onion, egg, etc.)... Get instant ramen at Ranch 99!!
- Their ramen is awesome! Spicy pork is what I usually get.
- Jeoffrey BatanganJuly 24, 2013Bento, Ramen, Sushi Rolls. You decide. Best place to grab dinner with the guys after work.
- Elaine HueyDecember 12, 2011My favorites are Saba Shioyaki & Takaki Salad & Red Dragon Rolla great price of the portions size
- Everything is tasty, and the best deal in the Bay Area for sushi!
- Eat here all the time! Best value for great sushi.
- Sarita GabatoNovember 13, 2010They used to give good sized portions and free salads but I guess they stopped doing that now. Used to be a loyal customer, but now moving on. Tiny shrimo used for tempura and tiny slices of sashimi.
- KeithNovember 14, 2018How do you call a place Yojimbo and not have sake? 🍶 OTOH, they don't have fleas either.
- Best sushi in alameda, period. Anyone that says different is a nut case.
- JessicaApril 29, 2017Would not recommend. We had mediocre sashimi and tempura, and it wasn't even cheap!
- AliceOctober 29, 2017don't go here if you're looking for authentic Japanese food. the portions are ginormous but the food isn't legit. also this place does not serve sake.
