They recently added a single malt scotch and whisky list. Get Lagavulin 16 or Juras prophecy if you want something lighter. Exceptional iodine aromas, with spicy finish.

Really miss this place. It had the best variety in the area… just wish the owner would have done a beer tour to encourage its business instead of selling out

I am so bummed. I just found out the Box Bar is closing and becoming yet another Italian restaurant. Like Plymouth needs a third Italian restaurant within 100 yards of Comparis and Fiama.

Perhaps if they hired staff that knew the word "Ayinger" (or even "Oberon") or cleaned their draught lines this would be a respected beer bar. Good French fries.

Hot Potato and Beef sandwich is good, so is the Brisket sandwich. Amazing selection of beer. Pulled pork is so-so

Was better when a small corner bar "15 pages of beer, 1 page of food!" - Still okay though. They used to have the best pub burger around. Now it's okay. Still the best beer selection anywhere.
