This place is my favorite in LES. Cozy little space with hearty food and great service. Lawyer-turned owner/chef grew up with Balkan cooking in his gramma's kitchen.

Just when you think you know about all the brunch spots in the LES, in comes Saro Bistro. Great service and you better believe the crab cake eggs benedict is worth coming back for.

The owner/chef cooks/preps the food most nights therefore it is perfection! Try the crab cake app. Yummy!

Try Saro's bloody mary. It is a secret family recipe. You won't be disappointed by the flavor.

I would avoid the Sarma if they're doing it with stuffed cabbage on the day, extremely salty. Everything else is pretty amazing though.

Don't start a competition with your date to eat the table peppers without knowing what you've just gotten yourself into.

Let Eran the chef/owner serve you up dishes from his grandmother's recipes. Balcan comfort food.

The waiter ran in the street after us saying "I don't care if you are Italian, but you left only 9% in tip, instead of 15%". Very bad experience.
