Been here 5+ times
if you are going to Las vegas you should make a stop over and go to restrooms or a Gasoline station. it will take 1hr drive before you reach State line.

Long place to spend a week for work. The only sit down restaurant is Chili's unless you count Denny's and IHOP.

Stayed out here awhile back. Some crazy guy went on a rampage in McDonalds. At least you can stop and buy ice cream :-)

You do NOT want to stay in "downtown" Barstow. Drive 5 miles west to Lenwood Road to find a decent hotel.
