The legit taxi stand is on the side of the terminal, on your right as you enter the arrivals hall, the big door at the end of the hall.Upvoted 4 weeks ago

Vassilis TsSeptember 4, 2016Low traffic airport, spacious departure areas but poor level of shops and restaurants. Very basic business lounge. Prices of available fragrances at duty free shop can be quite competitive!
Eat, drink, and go to toilette prior to come. Price in duty-free shop is higher than in the city itself. Small airport, 1:30 prior to your departure is enough.
Perfectly ok airport, but not much to it. Terminal 2 is much better than Terminal 1!
vprotJune 14, 2013Unlimited free WiFi is an amazing facility; however no power plugs are available so make sure that any device is charged before reaching the airport...food choices are limited and rather overpriced.
alice aliceMay 12, 2014There are not so many places with good coffee or food. The deli sandwiches bar offers coffee for 5x price, than in the city. To go to city on city bus use bus 84 till OrlovMost(subway too)
Spark electric rideshare cars have a pick up/drop off stop.Cheaper than taxi for single trips, more expensive than rentacar for full day.

Trave77erNovember 30, 2017An unexciting airport with a few dull shops & cafes in departures. There's free WiFi in the airport & some charging points at gates. Get your taxi from the OK TAXI stand in arrivals - ignore touts.
Take the subway from and to the airport. It's clean, safe and fast. And the cheapest option too!
Finally after so many years, Terminal 2 looks like a normal European airport with shops, food places, restaurants and spots to relax. Thanks god! It was like hospital corridor before. :)

Writing this connected to Sofia Airport public -great strength and seems to be e everywhere. Staff unusually friendly for being early up on the 01.01.
Grumpy personnel, overpriced food and drinks, counterfeit cab drivers. Leaving is a lot better than landing.
Mi RaSeptember 24, 2017People at the duty-free cash desks are extremely impolite. I don't expect a royal-like etiquette, but a simple "hello"or not talking to a friend while processing your items will make a big difference.

For water after passport control, prefer the Buy&Bye shop (1 lev instead of 3 other shops charge).Gates are strange-you arrive and see nothing but a transparent door-wait till open,then go downstairs.

AndreasJuly 7, 2012Generally a surprisingly compact and efficient airport. However, the domestic departures section has the feel of a bus stop.- There is an OK taxi desk at arrivals. Order your cab there and you will get A descent price.

Airport is small and effective. Does not strike you with luxury or style but it's cozy. If you have a long stay here, don't hesitate to stop by Preslav Lounge - costs 15 EUR.- Tomek DębińskiJuly 4, 2022I saw somewhere a statement that Sofia deserves better airport and I fully agree to that. The airport is rather small as for capital of Bulgaria and not so well maintained.
Just be sure to@arrive on time because there are big lines that n control.

Very chaotic, poor organization, long waiting lines. For a small airport very poorly managed. Be warned and come early! Sometimes you can pass everything for 15min, other times 2h might not be enough
