The food options upstairs on the land side are better than air side. If you have time to kill get your boarding pass and stay land side (time as needed based on security line).

Just be aware of the coffee shop upstairs. Kabuya coffee or something?! Just wanted an espresso but they insisted I buy a coffee that would cost around usd14! Nice try. You've been warned.

Comfy couches/armchairs on 2/F above entrance to customs hall. Don't fall asleep or you may miss your flight.

Lei Cafe (across from Gate 35) has decent chocolate milk. For China, anyway. Also there is a huge bank of seats behind it where you can spread out & wait for your flight without the crowd.

Drink beer from the little shops, 6.5 yuan for a Heineken. Much better than Detroit! Then sit in a chair and enjoy the free wifi while enjoying the beer.

Food court in B1 is closed so even less restaurants than usual. Do yourself a favor and eat before arriving. Or spend the money on cheap cans of beer and skittles at the convenience stores inside.

Not for last minute souvenir buying - tea and even magnets made in China are really expensive here. There're water stands here so no need to buy Evian for 15CYN per bottle

⚠️ Don't follow anyone that comes up to you and says "taxi", they are illegal black cabs and will try to rip you off. The real taxi line is outside and is sometimes very long. Train is often faster.

Also known as, "the gate to hell" give yourself at least 3 hours to check in, get thru 4 lines of security and finally arrive at your gate. Eat BEFORE you arrive.

Printed tickets are not accepted at immigration. You have to exchange it for an official ticket in the normal check in line. You will be turned away without a thick card stock ticket.
