When you arrive, you'll be approached by several individuals who want to help you with your bags. They don't work for the airport. Be cautious.

For those doing a long layover there is a small hotel tucked behind the domestic terminal with about 16 rooms.

Never enough seats. Travelling alone - you have to choose…. The seat you found because you came here straight after security…. Or go in search of the ( expensive ) bottled water …..coffee shop???

Gidis katinda, hediyelikciyle kafenin arasindaki koltuklarin arkasinda priz var. there is a switch plug behind the chairs, between giftshop and cafe in departure floor. Bilmem anlatabildim mi :)

Tip for foreign citizens regarding cost of taxi to the city. At daytime taxi fees vary from min 2000 tenge up to 3500 tenge max. At nighttime cost for taxi starts from 2500 tenge min and 3500 max.

Old terminal is for local flights (within KZ), new terminal is for international flights. So be aware, if u have transfer, u might need to change buildings.

Go to Galmart (1st floor old terminal) for grocery, drinks and snacks. This is a supermarket.

Turkish Airlines doesn’t have access to the Air Astana international lounge. But there is free access with a Visa Signature card.

Air Astana has a Stopover Holidays offer for long layovers, where $1 USD gets you a hotel stay as well as rides to/from the airport

Transfer to the city is 2500-3500 tenge (around 20$). Look for official taxi outside such as Sary-Arka taxi and request a receipt.

Astana airport is a Japanese construction. Small airport but convenient to use. Almost no shopping area and no food court there.
