    Right outside Fushimi-Inari Shrine. You can take the JR Nara local train here from Kyoto station then walk to the private Fushimi-Inari Station to get to Gion when done with the tori gates.

    Closest station to famous fushimi inari shrine, the station located in front of the first gate of the shrine. JR pass can be used from Kyoto Station to this station by using Nara Line #TravellingKyoto

    平日朝夕の時間帯は近隣の大学生や中高生、伏見稲荷目当ての外国人観光客が一気に乗り降りする上に、ホームや改札は狭いのでかなり混雑する。

    京都まで２駅、利用者はそれなりにいるけど快速はとまらない。したがって各停待つことになるけど、おかげで本数は少なめになる。そんな不遇なところ。観光に立ち寄ったときは、時刻表をチェックしておくのをすすめます。
