Really don't see the draw to this place, it seems like just a roadway with expanded pedestrian areas... Leicester was more filled with street performers and shops around the square and park benches!!

Great place to hang around in London after the shops close. The place is surrounded with cafes, clubs & ppl sitting by the statue watching the "times square" like screens

Is descriptively suggested by its name, ergo just overcrowded. Nearly circular access, unformed by Shaftesbury Ave. UK's version of Times Square? Well, not that close if you've been or live in NYC.

Piccadilly is named after a type of broad lace collar fashionable in the early 17th century, the ‘piccadil’. The best examples were sold by a local tailor whose shop became known as Piccadilly Hall.
