Renovations are finally starting to pay off. Plenty of new stores and food options (go to the Julia's at the very back of the station on the IJ-zijde; there's plenty of seats).
Welcome in Amsterdam, one of the prettiest cities in Holland. Go to the Starbucks on the second platform, their terrace view looks over the station
A very grand, open train station with routes to the rest of The Netherlands and Europe. Good selection of shops, serving snacks and hot food. Direct trains to and from Schiphol airport (approx 20mins)

Huge train station with a lot of trains. Be careful not to be in the wrong platform and double check before boarding on a train. If in doubt ask one of the NS employees, they are very helpful.

Take a look at the front of the building. Lovely and meaningful architecture here, going back to the times of slavery and the discovery of spices, tea, and coffee.- You can eat fairly well here at Julia's or the ubiquitous döner places. Try out the piano in the main hallway.

You can get basically anywhere from here. Most of the time very crowded. Has ATM, postal service, many restaurants and bars. Be aware of the crazy bikers around!

Just look at platform 1: the old wooden station wall with luxury waiting halls is still there and it looks amazing.
- For €2.75 you can get a healthy, yummy bacon-chicken sandwich (bruin broodje kip) at HEMA. Well, bacon is not thát healthy but, whatever, it's f***ing good!

Rafał RzepeckiJune 10, 2022If you eat here, go grab a €0,50 discount coupon from sanifair toilet. Nobody grabs them and there are tons of them waiting to be printed; grab one from the entry machine.
A beautiful building with a funky clock face that we think shows wind direction. Inside the station, it's like hell on Earth and people walk about with no regard for others. Good luck!
