Five Points was known as the "Harlem of the West". Some of the greatest Jazz came out of this neighborhood.

Great atmosphere; friendly staff; tasty GF red pepper and portobello mushroom sandwich! Also, they serve wine and craft beer.

Five Points was a major stop for touring jazz musicians like Charlie Parker, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald and Duke Ellington. The area was also known as the Harlem of the west in the 1900s. Read more

This area is so different from even a year ago. It’s hard to explain what changed, but at least during the day it seems like a nice safe area.

I despise the word "ghetto" especially being used in a predominately Black neighborhood that is going thru gentrification.
