New check in system is amazing. No need to arrive early. Come late still fly thru the check in/bag drop straight to ur gate. The Lovely RodJanuary 12, 2011Pendulum Cafe has excellent risotto and burgers. Surprisingly good quality food & house wine. We expected low grade airport food but it was better than many Melb cafes

Check the Melbourne Airport Parking Website for deals if flying for the weekend only. Often the business car park is cheaper or the same as the ordinary parking....

Taxi rank has been moved! It's now way at the far end of T1, past Qantas Valet. Lots more opportunities for unlicensed taxi hawkers to hassle you... :/

Check in online or on a mobile. You get to go to the much shorter bag drop queue :)
Not much. No functioning check-in machines. Surly lounge staff. Limited food options. Terminal clearly dated. Not worth the premium qantas charge to fly with them.
Campos coffee can be found in the watermark bookshop cafe
If u r picking some1 up, pick up one of the trolleys lying around the terminal or in the parking lot, rather than dishing out $4 at the convayer belt!

The best coffee can be found at Watermark Books - on the left after you've passed through security.

If a massive taxi queue at Qantas - walk to virgin - there is almost never a queue there.

Dean EconomouMay 3, 2010If u miss your flight just go to the qantas service desk and see how nicely they fix it. The service I got erased years of bad Qantas experiences in 10 minutes.
Villa and Hut has yummy chai, but service is nasty at the gate 5 outlet.
