1800 lbs elephant seals see us little humans the way we see possums. Guided tour was full but we snuck down to southern beach where lazy elephant seals were enjoyed siesta. Best to come on a weekend

Travis WMay 17, 2010Park off the road just a bit south of the official park entrance, hike 10 min to barn to get permit to enter sea lion area, then hike 20 min to see the sea lions up close.
