Who doesn't love Glasgow Central station. Awesome architecture. Biggest pain us paying to use the toilets. If you don't have the correct coinage then you could struggle to get change.Upvoted Feb 26

The owners of the railway station keep trying to convince us that under the clock is a good meeting place. It isn't! There's a tie rack there now. Meet people at the front gates. Want to avoid paying 30p for the toilet? Just ask them if they have change of a £5/£10 note. They always just let you in for free as the change machines just take coins. Don't do this often though!

Cafes and restaurants are available, boots, accessories also are open there. to uses bathroom u need to pay. Taxis always available outside
The Co-op across the street sells pastries for less than half of what "Delice de France" charges!

Get the best coffee at AMT but for food it has to be the bagel factory although they don't take the bite card. (mmm halloumi melt!)

West Cornwall Pasty Co. in the station do "A bacon roll + ANY drink for £2.99" - but you're only allowed a regular, not a large....get that in your small print

Emma B.April 5, 2010The shower is decent and clean. £5 gets you everything you need including a towel (I think you get £2 back when you hand in the towel - not 100% sure as I had my own).
In the morning rush hour make sure you have bought a ticket, otherwise you face long queues to get through the barrier!

Come 15 min before your train departure as your trail might not be on the screen few min before departure.
Nice dome. Trains to London depart from the first platforms. Their doors close a couple of minutes before departure. Be quick.
If you get the East Kilbride train, you can sometimes see the train carriages couple together at the platform.
Don't enter for the lower level on the southside of Argyle without a ticket. The lazy workers won't walk the 5 feet to sell you one even though they make commissions on ticket sales!- Do the station tour! https://www.glasgowcentraltours.co.uk/

Cheap drink, decent grub (cheap also) but service could be a tad quicker. Not if you're in a hurry. If you are just ask I'm sure they will sort it.

Always ensure you know the difference between front and rear trains. Don't want to end up in the wrong place!
Paul RichardsonJuly 3, 2014If you need the toilet... Do it on the train. 30p to access the toilet which is to prevent junkies shooting and homeless squatting.
You get a train, you get to see some of the interesting wild life, and get to laugh at the emo kids that always sit inside
Thanks to the new barriers you now miss that train you used to catch with 5 seconds to spare
Don't pay the 30p to pee. Go round the corner to the GoMA on Queen Street and use the public toilet downstairs, its free!
75% off co-op's hot food section on Sundays after 5pm. It's just outside one of the entrances.
If you catch it at the right time you can pee in toilets belonging to the bar upstairs for free =]
