- Magnus BergströmAugust 3, 2016It's not as rough or great as much of the other street art of Berlin, graffiti-wise. But if your looking for an alternative, colourful and both fun and dark way of experiencing history, go here.
- My favourite sight of all of the sights in Berlin. There is just so much going on around it and it seems to be a living sight since the pictures are changing occasionally. Recommended! 😊
- Artyom FedosovJuly 29, 2016Graffiti on the one side, wartime posters on another. Worth seeing both sides. Terrible reminder of that time. Must see in Berlin.Upvoted 1 week ago
- Timur SMarch 25, 2017Really nice place and a must see if your are in Berlin but please be careful with the scammers attached in the photo. They play a theater to make you believe you can earn money!
- Mahmut Enes KayaalpFebruary 26, 2018You should arrive here from Alexanderplatz getting of S-bahn at Ostbahnhof station. Then walk along the wall till the end, cross the Oberbaumbrücke and walk till the 2. stop of U1, Schlesischer Tor.
- Valentina TorreMarch 7, 2022Although it is a tourist attraction the place arouses emotion .. the surroundings are always in transformation, pleasant overlooking with the possibility of stopping in the kiosks along the river.
- Michael HoldsworthJuly 4, 2015Wonderful street art and graffiti on a stretch of the Berlin wall. Make sure you give yourself a good few hours to take it all in! A scenic part of town as well, great looking across the water.
- Longest standing stretch of the Berlin Wall covered in murals. Highly recommend a detour to Friedrichshain to check it out.
- Amit GaharwarMarch 13, 2019As historic as it can get. Remembrance of what it was like when Germany was divided. Great paintings with fraternal kiss and trabant breaking the wall being the most popular. Very near to ost bahnof.
- M Aldoss ♏October 8, 2015A must Visit when you are in Berlin. The Graffiti wall is colorful and worth visiting. You can also little bit more about the Berlin wall history.
- KyzeMarch 26, 2016Beautiful and important place, you must visit it if you're in Berlin. It's a shame that they've put ugly fences to protect the paintings. It's now really hard to take beautiful pictures of the wall.
- Brook LynnDecember 20, 2016About 1.5 km of Berlin's Wall remains. Some nice pieces of art, with deep political or/and social messages. The only bad thing, was the fence infront of it, because of "wall maintenance"
- Vangelis KoukidisDecember 25, 2017It's a must for every first time tourist in Berlin. The condition it's in is not that great, though, lots and lots of stuff written on top of the "original" graffiti. Great photo spot.
- Ro JDecember 31, 2019A must do if you’re in Berlin. Totally worth walking the whole length of the wall and admiring all the art work!
- Fernando MoraJune 23, 2017A must. Before 8 am is free of people (tourists) and you can take great pictures (also from the bridge). It starts at Ostbahnhof and finishes at Waschauerstr.
- Liesbeth Van VyncktApril 27, 2019You really can’t miss this iconic landmark. Artists from all over the world decorated the west side of this part of the wall immediately after the reunification ❤️
- Russell HirschornDecember 25, 2015Top attraction in Berlin. Great for a walk and observing some great murals. Get a schnitzel under the train tracks.
- Amelia RiveraMarch 10, 2017It's especially awesome early in the morning before the crowds flood the sidewalk and you can no longer take a relaxed look at the murals.
- sevgilicemreSeptember 21, 2014Awesomeee! Great works near spree, and free wifi neighbourhood, when the weather is good such an amazing chill out there ;)
- IngiOctober 24, 2018It’s too bad that a lot of art has been destroyed and the wall is slowly disappearing because they want to build new stuff there. Go and see it while you still can!
- Emircan EryılmazJune 3, 2018The East Side Gallery is understood as a monument to the fall of the Berlin Wall and the peaceful negotiation of borders and conventions between societies and people.
- Oh-Berlin.comSeptember 17, 2012Though the wall is 1.3 km long, it's definitely worth the walk to see the the scattered artwork! The memorial and Visitors Centre at Bernauer Strasse are also worth visiting. Read about our visit! Read more
- Dennis JanssenSeptember 9, 2016A real piece of history (1.3 km of Berlin Wall) which is decorated by graphiti artists. Certainly worth the trip.
- Aline BrandãoNovember 15, 2015Most of the original murals have been defaced by tourists and garden-variety grafitti - although sometimes with thought-provoking or just hilarious results (e.g. the "Paris is better" scribble).
- Nando RossiJuly 14, 2017The art is great and worth seeing, but make sure you visit the wall memorial at Bernauer Str if you're interested in the history of the wall. It's free and very informative!
- Mariana GarciaFebruary 25, 2015The grafittis are fare way of having the quality that the Wall deserves, but is still amazing to walk around just imagining all the history behind it (or between).
- Alexandra BálintJuly 7, 2019Must see when Berlin! You should check the qr codes placed under a couple of pictures to get more information about the story of the Wall and some pictures
- Kenny VermeulenDecember 27, 2014A 1.3km walk filled with street art by many famous artists. Take some snaps. And don't forget to go to the souvenir shop where they can stamp your passport.
- Ryan MaMay 28, 2016The graffiti are totally remarkable artifacts of the past. Definitely a must for Berlin. Just be ware if the hawker outside. My friend and I both got scammed :'(
- Issy MAugust 12, 2013Not just the artwork on the side of the wall facing the road, but the photography exhibition of other partitioned places on the back is interesting too.
- Grys TinMarch 2, 2018Quality of those art works is not really high, hundreds tourists are taking a pictures of the most famous ones.. But it is really important to see this, history is written here.
- Jon BillsOctober 20, 2015Enjoy the murals on the road-side of the wall, then walk back on the river-side and check out the graffiti tags on the back. The bars here aren't great though. Better to cross Oberbaumbrucke instead.
- Fabian SerinOctober 6, 2015The view of the wall from the east side is unbelievable, it reminds us the fall of the wall. The street art on the wall is a must see.
- WillJanuary 3, 2015Great sight. Must for Berlin. Sad but kinda part of Berlin are all the graffiti and tags on the wall pieces with the paintings...
- Lauma ZNovember 16, 2014Take a half an hour of your day to visit this historical monument in the heart of Berlin. You'll see history that has been made into art - you'll see real and true emotions.
- The Ritz-CarltonSeptember 13, 2012The Berlin Wall East Side Gallery showcases the work of 106 international artists on a 1.3km section of the original wall. A world symbol of freedom, it’s also the world’s biggest open-air gallery.
- Mahmut Enes KayaalpFebruary 26, 2018When you walk into the opposite direction of Alexanderplatz along the gallery you will reach a beautiful bridge: Oberbaumbrücke
- Phat BuoyOctober 22, 2014Mixed bag here - some great artwork and some not so good. Worth sifting through the tags (not art in my opinion) for the more thought-provoking work
- Besher SouedJanuary 6, 2016One of the most popular touristic attraction in berlin. The longest remaining part of the wall. The graffiti is great historic and fun
- Mike WhitcombeAugust 5, 2019A “must” when visiting Berlin. Should be visited with the history in mind…
- HectorJanuary 14, 2015Please, make sure to visit this site in Berlin as soon as possible. Stretch of murals over 1 km, right near the water. Beware of crowds trying to photograph everything.
- The Ritz-CarltonApril 7, 2017Visit the East Side Gallery in Friedrichshain to see an outdoor piece of art while enjoying the beginning of spring at the Berlin River Spree.
- VuelingOctober 29, 2012It is considered to be the greatest open-air art gallery in the world, thanks to the hundreds of murals created by international artists in 1990, to celebrate the fall of the Wall. http://bit.ly/SSSguq
- Nanda AfrianiMarch 25, 2015Very impressive. Take your time to grasp the meaning of each mural and take some pictures. A must visit for tourists.
- Mario NetoAugust 19, 2016Important historic site to be seen and amazing political art display. Stroll to Oberbaumbrücke and feel the vibe.
- Beth GibbiSeptember 29, 2016This was our second visit 8 years on. Disappointed that there are mesh barriers in front, albeit to stop over-spraying, why not glass? A real shame as many of the original artworks have disappeared!
- Pedro Brites MoitaMarch 12, 2015Largest standing stretch of the wall. More and more abused but a must see. Don't miss out on yaam 500m after ostbahnhof for summer chilling afterwards.
- Vaso GioniFebruary 2, 2016The Berlin Wall is a great part of History... A must visit for everybody!!!
- Hop Hey LalaleyOctober 7, 2015Shame on those who are writing their names or making other stupid "graffiti" on the wall. The place is must visit anyway!
