- Kadar is iconic place in Jewish quarter. Every saturday is #solet (cholent - jiddish טשאָלנט) day. Not the best, but likely most popular in the city. Worth to try! And not only in saturday.
- Flavio PAugust 22, 2013A local institution. A small restaurant open only at lunch (11.30-15.30) and serving fine Hungarian food. Absolutely worth a try at least once during a stay in Budapest.
- Priya TungrusJune 3, 2016Loved this place, and so cheap! The paprikash was delicious! You tip the staff on the table and pay the boss as you leave. They charge for bread eaten at the table by slice.
- TalonJuly 6, 2015Absolutely great place to visit. We had a few different dishes, and they were all fantastic. Doesn't look like much on the outside of the building, but don't let that fool you!
- We Love BudapestApril 21, 2015From the soups, we choose the broth. This course was followed by hock plate for 2, the portion would be enough for 3 or 4 in case of mere mortals like us. Read more
- Balázs Krisztián NagySeptember 17, 2017I bit overpriced (compared to similar hungarian places), but you get real homemade feeling and ticket for time traveling.
- Zoltan C. TothJune 12, 2015Don't miss the city's best Sólet (Cholent), it is served every Saturday, but you rather arrive before noon: the competition for this amazing meal is rocketing!
- Meat/beef soup is perfect, indeed the place is of a must see and try. Amazing local characters at all tables
- John NguyenMay 22, 2012Best Hungarian restaurant that i try, really homemade and fresh. It is a little difficult to read the menu but the owner does try and help
- Angela N.September 8, 2019Go early, popular dishes run out quickly and so do accessible available seats.
- David 🏁 B.October 20, 2016Good price, small portions, decent food. Try the not-too-sweet, retro raspberry Italian soda.
- John NguyenMay 22, 2012Don't listen to TIME OUT magazine about the soda water, it cost $60 kp each plus all of the sides cost extra but overall I enjoy it
- Éda Glória PogányNovember 9, 2013Best maceszgombóc leves in the World! :-) Sólet tojással - utánozhatatlan :-)
- Dániel DeákDecember 10, 2010szombatonként elképesztő sóletnap, szuperkedvesség, kockásterítő, 57 éves tradíció.
- Becissa 💫 Bagetta 🍞🌯🌮🌭January 6, 2018The food tastes like a cheap canteen meal. The portions small and EXPENSIVE (1700HUF). There are better options - I'd rather have a proper Hungarian food in a good restaurant or get some street food.
- P.O.Box: MOSCOWMarch 23, 2015
Érdemes félretetetni a kaját, hamar fogynak a népszerű fogások- például a sólet.
