- AlexanderApril 29, 2013If you forgot to send your bulgarian postcards: hand it out to the very friendly woman in the souvenir shop, she will send it for you. She will even buy stamps if you give her the money!
- Aalco van den BrinkAugust 16, 2014I paid way to much for the cappuccino at 'the Deli-Sandwich-Bar': 5,80 Lev. You can get dinner for that at the 'Happy Grill Bar' in Sofia.
- Luggage check-in takes not less than 1/2h with just 3 desks open for all 🛫.Due to this u have to rush thru security check. Then u need 10 more mins to pass border control.80% of staff speaks no ENG.
- Biliana RoussevaOctober 2, 2014There IS a working wi-fi connection - contrary to much bigger and important airports such as Milano Malpensa, Orio al Serio or Linate... Go, Bulgaria!
- On the security check always take the left one. The right is quite often use either by flight staff or people with disabilities.
- Great fast check-in, poorly organized security control. My heart beats for the mountain view.
- Chalks CorrietteSeptember 8, 2019Everything is basically the same. All good and drinks offers are equally choice less. But, place is clean with plenty of space.
- Sam FranklinFebruary 21, 2015WIFI is pretty shocking but you can grab some food and drink! Best cafe is before security. Small airport so no long walks so enjoy the outside cafe.
- Gorazd LazorikJuly 5, 2017Go to a metro station for a much cheaper drinks. Sodas are 5.30 at the airport, while 1.60 2 minutes walk away at a metro station.
- Tim MetzNovember 14, 2012If you only have cabin luggage, you can easily show up 35 - 45 mins before departure time and easily make your flight.
- Vasilis ThemelisAugust 22, 2017The shops in the airport have no official opening hours so do not count on them if your flight is early in the morning. SkyCafé will most probably be open in the secure area though.
- Meltem KMarch 6, 2017Such a contrast with the city! My first flight was from Terminal 1 (at NYE) which was a disappointment but this makes me rephrase my review about Sofia. Yeah it is expensive but so are all airports.
- Smoking is prohibited in the terminal biulding. So,if you are smoker you have 2 options-outside before checkin or lounge named Preslav for passengers in busines class, holding invitations or FQTV cards.
- Biliana RoussevaAugust 29, 2012Coffee prices at Milano LIN or Milano MXP: 2 times lower than those at the Sofia Airport. EPIC FAIL.
- Be careful if you fly Bulgaria Air operated - they use just three checkin desks and it tends to be overcrowded in the morning as they have multiple flights.
- Ненад МицовOctober 23, 2013Great airport terminal with one exception; no power outlets to charge your phone/laptop.
- The maintenance of the toilets is terrible...and if you are with a baby must call to the cleaners supervisor to unlock the door...
- Take the subway to the city centre - taxis are shady and the tickets are cheap.
- WebbicusMarch 31, 2014Terminal 2 construction finished on 27 Dec 2006. It covers 56500 sq.m and has 34 check-in desks, 7 boarding gates, 4 bus exits, 4 luggage belts & parking for 800 cars. Capacity: 2.6 million passengers
- Daniel RoyJune 6, 2018The metro stops at this terminal. If you're going to Terminal 1, you'll need to take a free bus. Most international flights leave from here.
- Tim MesserschmidtApril 5, 2015I really wanted to spend some leftover cash - didn't really find any good restaurants or cafes here, though.
- Keep your ID/passport and ticket handy - security guards will ask you for them at the door.Upvoted 3 weeks ago
- By far one of the worst airports worldwide. Employees are rude, organization sucks and you might wait for an hour to check- in, which for an airport this size is a joke!
- It's a light years from the old terminal, therefore the management and the security staff are way below the standards of a European airport!!!!
- beware the new security measures at departure. Security at the entrance requires passport and destination to let you in
- Perfect, new free WiFi access points on Terminal 2! Congratulation to airport management!
- Joel OlesonMarch 23, 2012Take off your belt even if it won't beep. It will keep you from having to undo it as they reach around and check your waistline
- The wifi password for the Sky Cafe at Sofia Airport is 27122006. Has not been changed for months. Njoy
- The screens are so bad, you can hardly recognize where from the luggage comes, which flight and which city... Why so, never had answer of this question....
- Gorazd LazorikJuly 5, 2017Awful airport. Come here to travel back in time. First airport that I have been to that has no toiletes after a security check. Cleaning staff was extremely unfriendly and rude.
- This airport is a joke. only 3 flight boards with the schedule across the whole terminal. You have to search for one which is hidden in the most inappropriate places. No info on the gates. Idiots.
- Vassil MladjovFebruary 5, 2012Try to get here if Hillary Clinton comes to town at the same time as you trying to leave Sofia
- Sometimes wait so long and looks like the luggage came by bus from your destination, but not with the same plane... :)
- Lili YaFebruary 24, 2013I hate the people working here. If u wanna check in a snowboard as your only luggage,do not call ahead. They will charge u 50 Euro if u do and none of u dont
