If the kids are bugging you for the blue ice cream, promise them you'll take them to Whipty-Do! afterwards. Exactly the same stuff, but you can feed the entire family for the price of one in the park.

SarahSeptember 23, 2014So much fun here! Went on a Sunday and there weren't too many people and lines were manageable. Be sure to ride Flight of Fear, and if you wear glasses, bring a case for them!
Nothing is more satisfying than the Blueberry ice cream with sprinkles in a fresh waffle cone on a hot summer day!... Mmm Mmm yummy!! 🍦🍦🍦
Spent the evening there with my wife. The real beauty of the season pass is that you can go several times during the season and not have to feel like cramming a years worth of fun into a long day.

For Mystic Timbers and Banshee, you have to rent a locker for ALL loose items. But most other rides, the employees will take your stuff and put it in a bin for you! At CP, you have to do it yourself.
It's a great combo amusement park if you live within 3 hours drive of the park. Jamison ShinkleJune 14, 2012Make sure you get the fast lane pass at least once you won't regret it. I rode every ride I wanted to at least four times and the people in the line had a hour to two hour wait.

The new Banshee roller coaster is great. But, they do not allow you to carry on any bags or loose items. They force you to buy a locker. Which, I think is very unfriendly to guests to the park.

Ive been coming here and Cedar Point since I was a kid. Has something for everyone. The only thing I miss is Phantom Theater.
Pack a cooler and have a picnic in the parking lot. It's a great way to save money on lunch in the park. This has become a tradition for lots of families that visit Kings Island!

DrewskiOctober 19, 2016Hadn't been in 15 years but was impressed with Cedar Fair's management. Got a Sunday deal on tickets + fast lanes, which were clutch. Banshee was cool, but Diamondback was the clear standout for me.
Jody MayerJuly 22, 2013Figured a Sunday in July would be busy, but at 5 after seeing a Reds game, perfect for us. Got to do all the big rides, longest wait was 45 mins for Firehawk. Vortex 20 and Diamondback 30.
Lots of coaster. Diamondback, Banshee, Beast, Racer are the best. Top kids area.

Matthew StovallJuly 1, 2016If you go during the early week (Tuesday, Wednesday), the park is a lot less busy. We went Tuesday and had no wait on 90% of the rides.
This place is an amazing place to spend with your family or friends.. Thrillers, adrenaline junkies, the food tasters come join the fun.
Line strategy: if you go in the morning, head straight for the back of the park and work your way forward.
Leah WarnerJune 17, 2017Since removing the Paramount title, Kings Island is just lackluster to me. Some rides are classics, but the newer Mystic Timbers was just meh.
The nice thing about a season pass is that you can visit over lunch if you're in the area...especially nice if your family is there!

The Banshee at night is awesome! The Diamondback and the Beast are must rides as well.
It's fun to go for a few hours at night when you get off work. Cooler weather and smaller crowds. Be sure. To ride the beast at night after dark!

Make sure to stop by Rivertown Snake Pit, right next to the Diamondback entrance, and enjoy one of our delicious Philly Cheese Steak Sandwiches!
KI now has a season pass meal plan. Two meals per visit, unlimited visits, $72. Hot damn.

Try not to go on a holiday. Everyone and their brother, uncle and cousin are up there on holidays.
Matt HOctober 19, 2014Firehawk will cause you to lose anything in your pockets! Use the lockers that are only a couple bucks before riding.- Like any other amusement park, the food is overpriced. Pack lunch in a cooler and leave it in your car. At lunch time, get your hand stamped and eat in the parking lot to save a few bucks.
