- Urs MerkelMarch 14, 2015It is a place you need to go when it is dark! The restaurant is like a park and you feel like enjoying your dinner in the jungle! As desert, go for the death of chocolate ;-)
- Jiar Hwei FongJuly 15, 2014The Crispy Duck rice - generous & delicious! The vegetable spring rolls - OK. Death by Chocolate cake - light & sweet, not life changing. Staff was excellent, warm & gave me a tour of the garden :)
- Nour SoudaniApril 22, 2015Atmosphere is amazing, the back garden is like paradise. Portions are tiny, shrimp cocktail was soaked with ketchup.. Food took forever but was worth the wait. We had the Bali Tuna and Chicken steak.
- Mar TinaSeptember 26, 2018Plate for 2 is amazing -possibility to try many different Indonesian dishes and all were very tasty. Also nice drink, we tried the traditional one with arak and rice wine - café combo. Beautiful spot!
- laura glaceMay 5, 2014Such a cool atmosphere and friendly staff. Great location and beautiful gardens. However the "death by chocolate" is not that good. I don't know why everyone is raving about it.
- NilsApril 13, 2019Tried the aubergine balado and grilled snapper today - absolutely amazing. One of the best eggplant dishes I’ve had in my life.
- Merve RischOctober 26, 2017I went back Wayan after two years and the same good quality. Extremely friendly staff, magical atmosphere and very good balinese food. Also I love the black rice pudding here.
- Narmi RafiNovember 9, 2013Banana crepes are to die for. Much better than Death by Chocolate. Avocado juice is very good. From the food order Balinese Special-very taste.
- Khanh LyDecember 4, 2015Try the Indonesian porridge breakfast, it's amazing! Make sure you take a spot in their garden. It's beautiful and very peaceful.
- Benjamin Earl EvansAugust 1, 2015Great breakfast - make sure you choose a sitting table near the back for a truly authentic experience. Serves a nice mix of local and international foods. Great service
- Mili MiniMay 1, 2018We ordered plate for two!! Oh and everything was so delicious, especially the duck 😍. Food was amazing and everybody were so friendly. 👌❤️🍤🍢🥗🥘🍗🍮🍰
- Anikan SkaiwalkaSeptember 13, 20172x tested, nice service, great meals a la card nothing fancy but the sunday all u can eat is pure traditional balinese food. Bit pricy but buffet worth it
- Lee Yen TayJanuary 5, 2014Quoting a reviewer, you get lush comfy environment.Price is on the steep side. The famous strawberry cheese cake cost 22000 per slice.Well, you pay to see how elizabeth gilbert's friend's cafe is like
- Paulroth paulrothMarch 20, 2019nice coffee shop (cafe) for hang out and chit chat for bussiness, free time, or just trying the special coffee
- Lisa PavlovaDecember 30, 2013Nice beautiful garden, comfortable seating places, excellent banana pancake and coconut merengue pie 😍 Breakfast here is the best start of the day!
- Aidu FMarch 29, 2016Recommended by the locals. The food is really tasty. Had the vegetarian fried rice&it was full of flavour. They offer cooking classes too.
- BarteleJanuary 8, 2013The waiter just sat down next to us and explained us very relaxed about the menu. He made me realise that there should be no hurry when it comes to food.... Tip: Lassie & Pumpkin Soup
- paTty neTaJanuary 8, 2015The Black Rice pudding is awesome. They have a very kind and efficient staff
- Villa Bossi BaliJanuary 1, 2012An old Ubud favourite, Café Wayan has a relaxed garden-setting ambience. Its lush tropical garden, food and baked goods draw many repeat customers, especially upscale locals.
- PierreOctober 19, 2015Tenderloin steak was really good. The "death by chocolate" dessert however didn't impress me much and I don't understand the hype.
- NilsApril 12, 2019Beautiful huge garden, awesome Nasi Campur, great Gado Gado. Coming back for breakfast!
- Yu-MeiMarch 17, 2013Get a table with floor seating inside a pondok. Try the boneless duck French style and save space for the crepes suzette.
- Chelly ✌️March 2, 2013Cozy, comfy with lush garden surrounding. Strawberry cheese cake is highly recommended
- Paul-Henri BrunetAugust 14, 2014Great venue for relax and a refreshing drink. Don't hesitate to go at the back. Secret Paradise!
- Anne HolmbæckApril 1, 2016Amazing cafe. The scenery is picturesque and the food was great as well. And do try the juices.
- Julian ChowMay 16, 2011This is the famous Cafe Wayan as mentioned in Eat Pray Love. Their strawberry cheesecake and mango lassi are nice and simple. However, be prepared to spend a fair bit here
- Abby KazanNovember 24, 2015Great garden out the back. Guacamole and vegetarian ravioli was lovely. Heavy on the garlic. Free wifi.
- James KokalisMay 5, 2014Highly overrated! The Death by Chocolate tasted like it was bought at the grocery store and Strawberry cheesecake wasn't cheesecake. It was strawberry shortcake with whipped cream in the middle.
- Lleufer SinsuaJune 27, 2012A definite must-try! A great culinary experience. Ambience, service and quality of food is to perfection. Definitely recommended.
- JuliaOctober 4, 2014The Black Rice Pudding here is Different: a Lot of coconut milk! But it is soooo Good!
- AzovskayaApril 16, 2014The place is really costly. Stuffed crab was good but a little more salty than I prefer. Pumpkin soup is good but the portion is tiny. Chef dom doms was ok (sate ayam is the best there).
- Emmanuel CheongOctober 3, 2014Good ambience. Private and peaceful. Death by chocolate is not bad. Black rice pudding is just so so, too heavy for a desert
- Taher KarakiJune 11, 2015Gorgeous place especially during the day. Go for the greenery side outside.
- WolframAugust 26, 2012Nice specials of the day.. Chefs dome dome and duck potato curry (spicy) and apple crisp - mmmmhhh
- Richard LinneyDecember 30, 2011This place is a cut above most, and that's not easy as the food in Ubud is exceptional, nice clean place. Recommended
- NinaJune 25, 2016Delicious Mie Goreng, great atmosphere, beautiful setting and excellent staff! Must agree with some others: the cakes are not THAT good. We tried both the Death by Chocolate and the Coconut Meringue.
- Johnny KoutiolasJuly 17, 2019"Death by chocolate" was big disappointment. It was just a pile of cheap sugary creams and doughy stuff. They brought us the last sad looking slice from an older cake instead of a newer one. Not cool.
- Chex TangguJanuary 26, 2013the famous restaurant at ubud ,, monkey forest road,, nice place and good food!!! not so far from my place ubud unique tour.
- Boris PAugust 1, 2011Great ! If you stay in Ubud, you must come here. We tried the menu with 12 courses... Delicious !
- Try it's Fettucini Carbonara for authentic taste, n end it with Death by Chocolate
