Buses to NYC are really outstanding - electrical outlets, wifi, snacks, bathroom, carpeting. Don't bother busing to Boston for the Amtrak when you can just take this!
The NYC service is well worth the price. I wish C&J would offer frequent traveler miles, as I take the bus almost monthly. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride. Just lay off the mobile phone, please!
BbJune 4, 2013The NYC trip may seem like a lot of $$ but if you want to know the difference between cost and worth try it at least once. C and J is the best form of transportation in the Northeast.
Very convenient! Comfortable seats and they have busses to Boston and Logan that run every hour!
Kat GaskillNovember 29, 2011If you need a taxi call Portsmouth Taxi when you get to Newburyport. They'll have a 6-passenger taxi van waiting for you (and all your stuff) when you arrive. 603-431-6811. They run 24/7.- Food, alcohol, and cell phone calls are not allowed on C&J busses. Muted laptops and texting are okay. Drinks are okay too. Bring headphones for music and movies.

SelbeSeptember 11, 2010Double check the C&J website for schedule times. Times are sometimes different than ones given by Greyhound.- The bus station is not in downtown Portsmouth. You will need to catch the trolley during the day or catch a taxi. Downtown is not walking distance.
- "Creative Parking" will get your car towed or plowed in. Park in designated spaces only.
- If you can't find a parking spot, creative parking is more than allowed.
Discount with student ID and free bottled water on board!
Don't creative park! You'll get towed! No coupon for buying online either!
- C&J now offers direct service NH to NYC - no stop in Boston.
- Of you ask the counter staff, they will call a taxi for you.
Music was too loud in lobby and staff said they couldn't turn it down. Really?
The seats seem to get smaller and smaller and there are more and more people who are pushy and rude. They need bigger busses or ones that run more often.
