- JessicaMarch 1, 2016Huge portions for incredibly cheap prices. The curries etc are even big enough to share between two! The sushi's also delicious and again so cheap. Highly recommend for a quick bite.Upvoted 3 days ago
- Siew Ling LawFebruary 14, 2017Cheap and huge portion! Ordered the pork katsu, the rice was superb! Love the service here. Remember customers have to pay in cash.
- Mathias HellquistDecember 8, 2017Excellent place. This is where Japanese students go, which vouches both for non-fancy authenticity and good price point. You can't book a table, just stand in the queue and you'll quickly be seated.

- Amazing standby for Japanese rice dishes. Been going here for twenty years and prices haven't gone up one penny. Try ordering Tori Kara Age Rice with a small side of teriyaki sauce. Pure nom.
- Magdalena MrázkováJuly 7, 2016It's not a very cosy place as it's not meant for you to sit there and savour your meal for ages. But the food is so delicious you're going to inhale it anyway;)
- Abby TeeMay 28, 2016Cheap n huge portion! Most importantly, Delicious! Definitely the best katsu in town. Thumbs up 👍🏻
- JeanJuly 13, 2013Food is great, prices are a bargain for central London! Queues are likely: be patient, it's worth the wait! Don't forget to bring cash: credit cards not accepted!
- seth meyerowitzAugust 12, 2014Don't expect to be here long. This isn't the type of place u sit back and relax. They'll rush u out of here when there is a line. Food is good though. Try the tonkatsu rice. Nice large portion.
- Στέλιος Αν.August 1, 2019Misato is easy to reach, because is in the heart of Chinatown in London. Very good food ,cheap prices and massive portions. The only problem is that you have to pay in cash.
- Kelly VennerApril 13, 2014Be prepared to queue at lunch & dinner for up to 30 mins outside, service and decor leave a lot to the imagination BUT most authentic & best value Japanese in central London - 100% worth it.
- WendyAugust 1, 2017Any of the katsu curry udon bowls are good. I got the pork version. They're a great deal at £6.50 each.
- Sam MAugust 13, 2014Wonderfully cheap Japanese soul food. Good quality which makes it fantastic value. Never had to wait too long for a table, but probably wouldn't risk going in with a large group.
- Val ChenOctober 25, 2013Prices are cheap with most dishes costing around £6 and the portion is huge too. I would recommend the Chicken Hamburger Curry! The meat is tender and moist~ Makes you crave for more.
- Mashell BokhariJune 30, 2012It's a little on the small side and it's not furnished well but the food is good, cheap and you get generous portions. This place is always quite busy and service can be slow but it's worth it. :D
- Mashael ZaidiNovember 12, 2017Cheap, generous and yummy! Good place to go if you're really hungry and want a big plate of Japanese chicken katsu curry. Bring cash.
- JETApril 12, 2015Cheap and cheerful, the servings are huge. Great if you value quantity over quality and there's a huge variety of dishes on the menu. Service not too bad for an Asian restaurant in Chinatown.
- Fatima AFebruary 25, 2019Wouldn't go for the chicken katsu here (average chicken, salad all over) but would definitely go for the tempura shrimp - cooked excellently, fluffy, crispy and not oily - also the ponzo was good 🍤
- Ana LaraDecember 19, 2015Prices are ridiculously low for the location, amount and quality of the food. It gets quite packed and the tables are all cramped in, so you'll have to stand up to let other people get in/out.
- By far...get the bebto box. I love the sushi bento. Salad, nigiri, sashimi, sushi, edamame, dumplings and a grand prawn all for £9!!!!
- Lisa HaywardApril 21, 2015Cheap and cheerful Japanese! Huge mate of katsu curry, which at £6 was a bargain!
- Best Japanese in London. Awesome curry. Small sushi selection but it’s the best I’ve had here.
- As fresh as it gets; no wonder with so many customers. Great value for money too. And the service is quick, although rather too quick at busy times.
- Christine FaiSeptember 11, 2017Huge portions, cheap and good food. The tonkatsu has loads of meat and rice and only cost me like £6!!
- Vanessa KDecember 25, 2018Value for money with generous portions. They beef curry udon and the chicken katsu teryaki are a must!
- Tom BurnsSeptember 29, 2014Amazing Chicken Katsu Curry! You can order extra sauce for 50p, which is great for all of the rice.
- João GonçalvesSeptember 27, 2016Internet world, try the curry ramen. Curry ramen dudes and dudettes.
- Anna KarEminaAugust 29, 2018Best Chicken Katsu Curry I have ever tried. Big portions. Waiting time around 15-30’
- AileenApril 7, 2018Had the katsu curry and rice. Nice and cheap for the massive portions and quick service!
- Megan HarmerApril 16, 2016If you are vegan, vegetarian or do not eat fish, this is a very difficult restaurant to eat at because all broths & sauces contain fish sauce.
- DanielFebruary 28, 2015One of those hidden gems in soho, great taste, huge portions for a cheap price
- Nice simple and cheap Japanese restaurant. Great when you are on budget and want some Japanese food
- ᴡ OoiSeptember 5, 2013Tried sushi bento & I dont like it. Edemame is served cold (I thought it should be warm, speaking from 1yr of working in a Jap res)& the salmon nigiri doesnt look nice-But its cheap so u cant complain
- Diego ConcaNovember 17, 2016Very cheap stuff... but probably not the cleanest place! Worth a visit. Udon and soba are really good.
- Athila RazaliDecember 3, 2012Foods are delicious, comes in big portion & costs really reasonable despite the location of the business. Loved the sushi & tendon loads!!
- Enzo MartinelliJanuary 29, 2020Traditional and popular Japanese cuisine with value for money food. A pity they don't accept credit cards.
- Papa ShangoSeptember 30, 2010Amazing Japanese Restaurant. One of Londons best kept secrets (until now!) just please dont tell too many friends about it! Lets keep this one a special secret!
- Trung DangDecember 29, 2012delicious and cheap. however you are expected to face a long queue outside the restaurant. also they only accept cash.
- £4.5 for the awesome chicken teriyaki rice. The portions are huge, one dish is enough for two
- İlke GüntanMay 29, 2013Cheap but delicious Japanese food... Even though I don't think the people work in Misato are not Japanese, the food is pretty good!
- Alexander LeeAugust 7, 2013Really cheap and massive portions. The katsu chicken curry was nice and the sushi decent. Beware though they don't take cards...
- Angela LiuFebruary 10, 2015Big portion of japanese curry rice- not the best of its kind hut definitely great value for money
